  1. I should try and stitch together scans of the whole covers on those, they're wraparound. I could get about 80% of the image to fit on my scanner, the image only covers half the back cover. And of course he's doing the Dave thing, since Stevens did the original Stargrazers cover:
  2. Not one, but two covers in my pull box today:
  3. A relatively current issue, but I just got it today:
  4. Some days, you can't skip a book, even if you've already got a copy. I don't foresee a problem making more than my $12.99 back on this one:
  5. In today. I know it's a reprint, but I like the version with the Lady Rawhide logo rather than Zorro.
  6. A few in today. I've already got the Best of III, was there ever an explanation why they came out 1-3-2?
  7. A few more digests with Bode/ Todd covers. Some impressive names on the interior art as well... Kaluta, Billy Graham, Dave Cockrum, Chaykin, Jeffery Jones.
  8. OK, perhaps I can still get a couple from the same seller. But no more huge lots. In today:
  9. I know I'm not bothering with it... and I'm someone who will normally grab anything Phil does. Doing a variant cover years after the original book just seems odd.
  10. Looking forward to the NatLamps! I ultimately decided I wanted the first 75 issues, plus some selected later material. Right now I just need to track down the first issue for the 1-75 run. That actually gets into 1976, but seems like a good stopping point.
  11. I've always thought that was a very atypical cover coming from Marvel. A great one, but not one I would expect from them. And yes, it does come from a story in the issue.
  12. In today. 2nd issue. I still haven't decided completely how I feel about National Lampoon... there's a LOT of unfunny and offensive material in the run. But when they were good they could be absolutely hysterical, and often even when they weren't the quality of the creators still makes it worth looking at, at least for the first several years.
  13. Another data point for the “big eight were distributed in Canada but not the US” theory.
  14. Today's addition to the collection. It's definitely starting to get harder to fill holes, but there are still a few easy ones. No more grabbing lots from the same seller, though... it's definitely at the one book here, another book there stage:
  15. It’s an entire sales sub-forum. You would create your own thread. Then mention it over here so those of us who are interested can find it.
  16. I could almost accept a note saying “oops, I screwed up… that was the price I meant on 2-4”. But an automated email through eBay claiming the item was damaged or unavailable, then relisting instantly, is just rude.
  17. Agreed. It's awesome to see all the great covers, but breaking it up in to several posts would make it easier.
  18. Good luck on the sale, and thank you for all the information you've gathered and shared on the books over the years. I've always found it fascinating.
  19. Here's one I didn't win- or even come close to. But is the book really up in this range in the condition, or is it a case of somebody buying the grade, not the book? Which is silly enough with slabbed books but is beyond absurd with raws...
  20. Sigh. Thought I had a copy... but when I grabbed it BIN on eBay, the seller cancelled the order within 5 minutes. Then relisted the book at 4x the original amount. I have no idea if I have any recourse against that. The book was a decent deal at the original cost but the current asking price is never going to move. And as long as I'm venting here, I might as well Creepy #4 to my wanted to buy list here as well. Looking for about a 4.5... decently presenting reader copy.
  21. As I mentioned a few days ago, I finished up the 2-11 run of Eerie. Incredible stuff by Goodwin and crew:
