  1. It’s not really that impressive, I’ve only got a few . But it includes Laughing Dragon of Oz, at least:
  2. More or less. I don't have the 70's omnibuses of earlier books, and while I have a copy of Pogo for President (a small format partial reprint of I Go Pogo) it's not on that shelf. I actually finished this run in the early 2000's, so all the books (others than the Pogo Files for Pogophiles HC) were found in the wild. I like that I was able to put together at least one collection that way.
  3. Very nice! I doubt I'll ever be able to get that one, so I'll just be happy with these:
  4. And actual scans of the front & back cover for good measure:
  5. I don’t really consider this a candidate for slabbing, but I’m trying to see if my impression of how far off the seller’s grade was is accurate. Thank you all in advance!
  6. That's around when I started collecting them, as well. I've got them all in hardcover except Eric, but I've got the illustrated UK version of that which I feel is a step up from the unillustrated US hardcover. I've even got a couple books signed by Pratchett, including a 1st edition US Good Omens signed by Gaiman as well. I really need more bookshelves; too many of mine are just overstuffed and too many of my books are in storage. I haven't even gotten photos of the Charles Addams hardcovers or the Arkham House books or the Big Little Books because those shelves are so messy.
  7. In today. The seller was actually briefly worried when they realized they were second prints after I ordered them, but I assumed that's what the were from the get go. Got a crazy good price on the pair, now I just need III for the set:
  8. And then a couple of early Creepy's with Frazetta covers:
  9. A good mail call today. We'll start with the Lone Star "VG" book. One of the more extreme examples I've seen of undergrading, even by Lone Star's semi-legendary standards. I should throw it up in the "please grade me" thread for fun. Now I'm down to only needing #8 for the Marvel Preview/ Bizarre Adventures run; which isn't the easiest issue but it sure isn't the hardest either.
  10. I've always found it interesting that "Master Race" actually got two covers by two different artists, neither of the Krigstein. Nice pick-up!
  11. Not sure on some of these if the women are giant, the other figures are small, the image is symbolic, or the perspective is wonky. But I'll show them so you can make your own calls:
  12. I noticed the sag myself, I'll be careful. They're all early editions, with about a third being true first state copies, mostly the later writers. The only Baum on the shelf that's a first state is the very beat up copy of Sky Island, although the Dorothy & the Wizard in Oz is a second state from around 1910. I've got a true first of Baum's Queen Zixi of Ix as well, although that's not visible in the picture. I really do need a better bookshelf to hold all of them, they deserve it.
  13. A different bookshelf, I actually posted this in the paperback thread a few hours before this one started:
  14. Well, they used his likeness on the Movie adaptations in the US, but I think the Photo Covers are unique to the UK.
  15. I need to dig my other d-series doubles out of storage. But it still makes a nice looking shelf with the half I’ve got handy:
  16. I never knew Frazetta had some assists on a story in this issue!
  17. I trust everybody was able to grab this today. Unlike the 2019 issue, this one just reprints #1 of the current series:
  18. I'm working on putting together the work Frazetta did for DC; another case of dull covers but amazing interiors. Two left to go... All-Star Comics 50 and Adventure Comics 150.
  19. I should have bought a copy a few months ago; I'm just glad I'm going to be getting one before it gets impossible.
