So, not actually a magazine and not mine, but saw this on a gentleman’s leg today. He seemed pleased when I actually identified them as Uncle Creepy and Cousin Eerie, apparently that doesn’t happen often. (I did ask for and receive permission to post the picture from him)

Something about that one always seemed off to me… I know Heinlein objected, but I don’t get when there was time for a lot of the original version to be distributed, AND a lot of the corrected. I would expect one or the other to be rare… either a small number of the original before an early injunction, or a small run of the corrected to satisfy lawyers. But the two versions both seem fairly common. (My copy has the blurb, I should grab the other one of these years.)

Will you be at Grit City in Tacoma, WA next month? I know I've seen you at Jet City; this is the smaller version of that show they're doing this year.

I'm afraid that doesn't work for me, though; since @Razeand I generally give one another first refusal on our respective EC undercopies... Which is why I'm making a point of not expressing a preference, as well.

Trying to figure out what the first Hardcover editions on the first 14 books are must have been interesting; I'm guessing a combination of book club editions, foreign editions, and just plain later releases in HC? I was actually considering grabbing a 1st print Lonely Silver Rain at the bookstore earlier today. I've got several JDM firsts, he was an amazing writer.

Just a placeholder pickup today... but for some reason this one has been proving elusive for quite a while. It's the last issue I needed to get all the original Foundation stories in Astounding, just in time for the TV show.

Some of them, at least. The Moon Knight issues are getting trickier...

Just got this one. Grand Comics Database says Neal Adams worked on the "Avenger" story with Jim Starlin, but he's not credited in the book and I'm not seeing much if anything in the story that looks like he had a hand in it. Mind you, a Goodwin/ Starlin story is still something I'm happy to see. Does anybody know where the GCD reference to Adams comes from?

I actually found a signed-with-certificate-of-authenticity copy of this one in a dollar bin several years ago. One of 5 books I have signed by Neal. He drawing is still amazing, even if his writing is... let's go with idiosyncratic.

I definitely need to finish my run, I'm too close to not! They also have some excellent reading in them, including some of the earliest Conan reprints.
