  1. Hi guys,

I made a mistake on a package I posted to someone, somehow I did one of the digits wrong on the postal code, duh, silly me.

Anyway, the package has been going back and fourth from Jacksonville distribution centre to Tallahassee distribution centre. The person lives in Jacksonville, all of the address is correct, door, street, state etc except for one of the digits on the end of the postal code. He has phoned them, they say they cannot, or will not change the incorrect digit.

USPS said I have to phone my post office over here, which I have done a few times, they say that they can't do anything and that we need to contact USPS, I was hoping that maybe there was someone on here who worked for USPS and could help, or if anyone who does not work for them, but still has any ideas what we can do?

I have refunded the buyer, as it was my fault, but I would like him to still get the comic, as he has been very polite and patient.

Any help would be most appreciated,

    best, herc

  2. ramb_1822  just got back to me and said it was a problem on my end, which ebay said it was not. He then said he's bought another copy now and don't want mine, I wish he just said he didn't want it in the first place and i could have canceled the transaction. So I looked at the one he bought and it turns out he bought it just after he bought mine on the 16th Sept, so was all just BS to begin with, but he had the audacity to leave a neutral because feedback because he bought another one, lol. Got ebay to remove the feedback, no thanks to him though and wasting my time having to phone them up about it all :-(

  3. Two more non paying bidders, this guy riccol6054 keeps me waiting for ages and finally says he will pay on Friday, that comes and goes, I contact to ask him if he's still going to pay, but has just ignored me.

Then this other guy, ramb_1822 buys the item on the 16th, does not pay straight away, then today on the 19th sends me a message saying he can't pay as it says out of stock for some reason, I respond, telling him that I'm not sure why it's saying that, so I'll send another invoice and he can try again. I then decide to phone ebay, they tell me there's no problem on my end, but on his and he will have to phone them to resolve it, so I tell him this and in the mean time, he leaves me a neutral, WTF, it's not even my fault and he has not even given any time to resolve the issue which is clearly at his end and not mine!

    :-(

  4. This guy is a total time waster, even after a couple of days after buying my Invincible 1 and Y The Last Man 1, I asked him if he had changed his mind

but he could not even have the decency to let me know that he had, so had to wait another 4 days to close it.

  5. Hi Guys,

hope this is the right place, I know it used to be, but things change :-)

This is for a link to a gofundme for, Greg Hartley, who unfortunately has been diagnosed with terminal cancer at a young age of only 32. He became an instant team player at A Place in Space, he became a great spotter for all high grade comics to be sent to CGC, he has a great eye and picked up really quickly and pulled out many 9.8's to be sent in.

So, Alison put together this campaign, as he needs money to try to get other alternative treatment to try to stay with us for as long as possible, as the NHS have said they have done what they can now in such a short time after diagnosis, :-( he is undergoing chemo, and coping well considering, but it is a shock and a devastating blow to all who know him. So many of us lose our friends and loved ones to this awful disease, so hoping some can help, if only with thought and prayer.

Any donations and prayers would really be appreciated, many thanks for reading, and sorry if this is the wrong section for posting this, best wishes, Lance

Thats a lot of love for the Defenders, sitting on a box of 92's for 40 years and thinking that ship is going to arrive in the umpteenth stage of the MCU franchise, with the Multiverse storyline.    Thats a pretty big crystal ball they're gazing into.

I was not meaning they bought them 40 years ago, I was meaning they bought a stack recently for a couple of dollars, then they push the book when they have a box full, lol.

It wasn't a run only a single book.  It went the entire time for auction. I bid within an hour of it listed. ( for close to actual guide) no one else bid. I won it for 99 cent + shipping. Then I paid shortly after it ended. The next day zillaf4 cancelled and sent me the messages above. It was obvious he just didn't want to sell it for $0.99 plus $4.50 shipping.

If he hadn't been tried to brush off his dissatisfaction with the sold price by using the " I made a mistake in the listing " and just been honest. I would have understood and made him a more fair offer, as I did bid more on it; and I expected to pay more.

Sad part was I was considering more of their books. Instead you see the way the conversation went and I definitely will not be spending any money with them.

I am sure it is no skin off their back, but the kind of jackwagon messages they replied with are not acceptable.  Same with ebay allowing sellers to pull this kind of carp with no repercussions.

Yes ebay can be all over the place with Negative Feedback removal.  Larger sellers do get more leeway.  It also has to do with how it is worded and if you sent messages specifically about it with a threatening tone. (Feedback extortion) Which is definitely not allowed and will guarantee it will be removed.

All the more reason I have been making more purchases from other sites, LCS, and here over ebay.

yeah, I think the forum members are more reliable than anywhere else, we have a few of the big dealers here also ;-)

Good luck, you'll get another akira 1, hopefully cheap somewhere :-)

I completely agree and have been there as well. Too many of the current Ebay sellers have the mentality that Ebay will just let them cancel and wipe most feedback.

If you're a business seller, I have seen deserving bad feedback removed quite often, if you're a private seller though, then it's a lot harder to have it removed.

Surprised at zillaf4, they have always been a good seller as far as I can remember, did the Akira run out of time, or did they end it early?

  9. Well I finally managed to get label from fedex, which took six hours of repeating and going over same form, speaking with different phone operators, finally got a good one called, Sharon who fixed it all, just gotta hope he gives it to them now and don't come up with another excuse!

That user sounded familiar, so I checked out my previously blocked users and sure enough...ultimatecomicbooks is on there.

Ebay will fix this. Buyer didn't provide tracking number so they will ultimately be held responsible. Just stand your ground.

They have already put everything on hold and given me 4-5 days to get label. They said it's up to me to provide label, despite lack of access or help from buyer. And even though he has marked as dispatched, and said needlabel in tracking number, I have been told, it does not matter, he will get book and money if I can't send a label in 4-5 sent attached as a message to him.

  11. Hi Number 6, I think it's because I am UK, I have no idea, but he would not do that anyway, especially if he thinks he's gonna get it for free.

If it was a UK, to UK, then I can do what you said you can do for USA to USA and generate a label.

I just tried to get label from Fedex directly, I can get a quote and stuff, but it wont let me buy it, as it keeps saying update credit card, which is fine, so I phone them and they say my details are fine, but they say the site is temporarily down, or that part of it, I ask if I can order over the phone, she said they do not do that any more, I will try and phone them again, as it gave me that option when I first phoned, I feel quite ill from all of this, am I unlucky, or does this sort of thing happen a lot?

Oh, and I just spoke with ebay.co.uk again, can't get through on ebay.com, even when I go on .com and try to get customer service there, it won't let me as it keeps asking for a US, or Canada phone number from me, for them to call me back on :-(   so ebay.co.uk said, you have to get a label, or he will get the money and the comic.

I never thought getting a label would be so difficult, he knows this, I had other offers from this buyer on other expensive comics before which I declined or were automatically declined. Why does he have private feedback, is it because sellers have done follow up feedback for his sort of behaviour before? Maybe I'm wrong, in any case, this has put me off selling on ebay now, I don't blame others for not wanting the hassle of selling on ebay.

  12. Hi Guys,

I have just had my worst experience ever on ebay in 22 years, with ultimatecomicbooks.

I sold a Spider-Man 101 for £550, the comic looks gorgeous in hand, looks a VF, but has ink distribution staining and the main defect is some small sticker pulls in dialogue box and logo, so I graded it FN.

I sent this tracked and signed for to NY, the seller said he wants to return it, as he thinks it's been trimmed, it has not, but I said okay, you can return it, not a problem.

He marked it on ebay as not described, so this way, he gets free return postage, although I think he wants a free comic as well.

I sign up to USPS, but no matter what I do, I can't get a label, I just keep getting error, maybe because I am UK, not sure why.

So, I tell the buyer this, and I click accept return, and will sort out postage other way option.

I ask the buyer, if he can get dimensions, weight from post office, but he says no, they are , they can't do this. I offer to send him £50 via paypal, to cover postage, he says no, he wants USPS label only. I then manage to get an offer from DHL, or Fed Ex who can provide a label, but will collect the comic, can you give me a day they can collect it, he said no, USPS label only.

He then accuses me of making this a hassle and asks for £275 instead, I say no, I want it returned, he says, send me USPS label. I say, it's not me making it hard, but him as he wont accept anything I offer.

A week goes by, he does not respond, I phone ebay and get through to ebay US, the woman says, it's okay, you have done everything you can, he has up until the 28th to provide tracking, if he does not, will give you your money back. 4-5 days later, he marks as dispatched, and where the tracking number is meant to be provided he writes needlabelfromseller.

He then says in the evening on 25th, give me label for 26th, or I will leave a negative. I'm not bothered by his threat and explain once again all the options available and what I have tried, again he says he does not want to deal with the post office as they are all . I say, he will have to deal with them, even if he has label, as he will need to get tracking and receipt for proof of posting, he replies he does not have to, I can't make him, this is within his first amendment (this is craziness).

Next day, he says label please, wow he said please, lol, as if I wouldn't if I could have :-(

I phone ebay again yesterday on the 28th, this time I get through to ebay UK, who basically says it up to ebay US, as the case was opened there. He said he put notes that I have tried to get labels, send money, get collection, but buyer wont have it. So this morning I get a message from ebay US, who say, I have 4 days to get him a label, or they will give him the money £565 and he can keep the comic.

Today again, I try to get label from USPS, but still keep getting same error. I go to Parcel2go and order fedex collection, I pay for this, I get invoice from them, but no label, so I'm on live chat to them for an hour, when they say, there's an error and they will have to refund me the money, which will take 5-7 days, I can't make this stuff up.

So, just wondered if someone in the US, could get me a label for USPS, tracked, signed, or fedex, which I can attach as message on ebay for the buyer, so I have more evidence of me trying to get this sorted. I can pay you some extra on top for getting me the label, thanks for any help or advice,

    a very sad, Lance :-(

  13. thenandnowcomics

I sold a marvel tales 106 for £49, buyer said the back cover was dirty and there was a small stain somewhere. He continued to say, I filtered the images, and purposely hid this from the listing. I scan the front and back of my comics the same way I do every time, I never try to hide anything, why would I, I don't want hassles of returns. I think he just changed mind, but wanted to get free return shipping.

I sent him a message stating I always scan the same way, never try to hide anything and if there was a stain, then I must of missed it and asked for picture of stain, which he said he sent, but only sent me two pictures from my own listing, which I told him ebay can see. He called me a liar and said I was filtering the image or hiding this stain and would not accept that if it is there, that it's possible I just missed it, but wont have it for some reason.

He's very rude and can't accept there was a possible error on my end, as I would always mention stains, writing, foxing, tears, tanning etc, I was happy to have it back, just don't like being called dishonest, which I think he is, all because I did not give bigger discount to begin with, I already knocked almost 20% off.

Anyway, I asked him for pics again and try to say I might of missed it, but he just left a neg after two messages on ebay in the space of a couple of hours, no proper communication or compromise.

I graded it VF-, same as it was in it's slab about 2-3 years ago, but was badly damaged case so it was taken out :-(
