I remember Carbonaro had quite a few of them back in the day. Bought a couple, still have them. Should’ve bought more! -
New West side story movie featuring Comics!
goldust40 replied to eccomic's topic in Golden Age Comic Books
Different issues of Young Men, Journey into Mystery and Strange Tales on the same rack in the same month? Blasphemy! But seriously, that is very interesting. Not aware that Spielberg is a comic buff. -

What's Your Biggest Peeve When Trying To Buy On Ebay?
goldust40 replied to Tri-Color Brian's topic in Golden Age Comic Books
Go to Advanced Search. Then scroll down to the bottom to the Sellers heading. Click on Specific sellers (enter seller's user IDs). On the Include / Exclude option just below that click on Exclude. Add all the sellers you want to exclude in the space next to that separating them by commas (i.e. no spaces between them otherwise). Then click the blue Search button at the bottom of the page and that's it. -

What's Your Biggest Peeve When Trying To Buy On Ebay?
goldust40 replied to Tri-Color Brian's topic in Golden Age Comic Books
True, but I still find about 200 Golden Age books and pulps a year I'm willing to buy, so I'm willing to wade through the overpriced stuff. Can't argue, I've done okay over the 20+ years I've been buying from it. I just like complaining. -

Pet Peeve: most stuff on eBay used to be overgraded, now it's overgraded and overpriced. -

I managed to tweak the searches to an acceptable level, which does mostly have GA when you're looking for GA, and not books that are less than five years old. Of course sometimes you'll get sellers calling their modern stuff GA and there'll be pages of the stuff appearing on the search, but it's easy enough to remove them. -

For the majority of them that would be true, but not all of them, as you know - Astonishing 30, Strange Tales 28, Mystery Tales 19, JIM 16, Mystic 18, 28, Spellbound 17, Menace 5, Strange Tales 1, JIM 1, etc. would always do well at auction. I of course hope there's a resurgence as I think they're great, and yes, I have a complete set of all the Atlas horror and war titles, along with most of the crime. They'd be hard to part with should I ever decide to do that. Took me long enough to assemble them. -

I had quite a few Mystics in that specific auction yes, but that wasn't one of them. -
