  1. Probably my favorite PCH cover. Grotesque, horrifying, and surreal. What more do you want for Hallow's Eve?
  2. That’s a regular cents copy. The CGC label is erroneous. Great book of course and priced reasonably.
  3. Oh for a time machine and a case of benjamins. Hard to believe now how having big GA keys on your wall wasn't all that big a deal at SDCC...
  4. Just acquired a couple of very nice 50s books from Mystafo - great communication, professional packing, and the books were as described. A credit to the forum!!
  5. Been to countless London marts (sort of like a con but only dealers) over the last four decades and although I've seen plenty of L. Miller, Alan Class and Australian reprint books featuring American material from the 50s and 60s at such shows, I have never once seen a Streamline book at them, or indeed in collections, or offered on any British FB group etc. They never featured in U.K. price guides about American comics because they're British books (the irony!). In fact I'd barely heard of them until you posted that. I know a couple of older collectors (one of whom specializes in British comics) who are in their seventies who were around when fandom began over here in the late 60s, and would know more about these rarities, but they've never mentioned their existence to me. Maybe Marwood and I would know something. Either way, that is a cool piece.
  6. That and the possibility that they may have spent their budget on other lots. But I think it's common.
  7. I say the underbidder should be the winner right ?. I would've thought yes, assuming the underbidder still wants it.
  8. Don't they have the option of offering the book to the underbidder?
  9. MLJs have so many skewed and nightmarish covers, but clearly that's what sold back then. The forerunners of PCH...
  10. There can only be one winner - Ronald Lacey as Arnold Toht in Raiders of the Lost Ark. Authentically nasty.
