  1. Star Ranger Funnies, 1939. Version 2, Number 3. Good, $350. SOLD Certainly looks better, but a three inch spine split from the bottom and a one inch spine split from the top brings it down to 2.0. Still attached well. Off-white or better pages.
  2. Beware (Youthful) 11 VGFN $525. SOLD One inch spine split at the bottom. Presents well with nice colors and off-white pages. The back cover paper aging looks far less noticeable in hand. Gruesome cover. Not much info on this book in terms of sales.
  3. On the block this evening, three nifty books. Insured boxed shipping is $25 globally. Paypal preferred, although I do accept bank transfer. Returns are fine within two weeks of reception but please notify first. A take it in the thread trumps negotiations. Strange Fantasy 1 FN $795. SOLD Small spine split at top and bottom, minor ding on bottom right corner, very nice otherwise. Presents very well with full gloss. Haven't seen this one on the boards often.
  4. Horrific 3 CGC 5.0 Off-white to white pages. $5500 SOLD. Nicest copy I've ever owned, with virtually none of the browning that is often seen on the cover. A CGC 3.5 recently went for $2.6K.
  5. Dark Mysteries 6 VG off-white pages. $325 SOLD. Looks considerably better, but has a 3/4 inch spine split at the top and bottom and a two inch split in the middle of the spine. Book is tight despite the spine.
  6. A trio of books this evening. Insured boxed shipping is $25 globally. Paypal preferred, although I do accept bank transfer. Returns are fine within two weeks of reception but please notify first. A take it in the thread trumps negotiations. Ghost Comics 6 4.0 / 4.5 $4,000 Spine roll, reasonably tight, off-white pages.
  7. Hopelessly off the mark here, but I have nothing against Bill Maher generally. Surprised he said this, given how the medium's message from the late 60s onwards was one of idealism, inclusivity and hope for the future, and that was owed in no small part to Mr. Lee. Granted these days that message is often lost, but it's still there. Wonder if Hitch would've piped up and said anything - to be honest I doubt he would've mentioned it.
  8. Take the Archie at Riverdale High as well. Brings the total to just above $60. Great stuff.
  9. My daughter is a big Archie fan, thanks to Riverdale. I'll take everything thus far - some nifty reading in between episodes for her.
  10. I thought the Kangaroo and the Gibbon were a bit weak. Sub par villains at best, and really rather silly.
  11. FF5, FF 48, FF 51. Personal favorite - Silver Surfer 1.
  12. The industry and fans owe him so much. Whatever you thought of him, he was the face of the comic medium and did a hell of a job as its ambassador. Thanks for everything Stan.
  13. I think Mr. Illmannered would win that contest and if I remember correctly he had a vault of guns for anyone in disagreement.. I'm pretty certain he'd win that contest in terms of quality.
  14. Agree with Jim here - there's a little spine wear but it looks pretty sharp and flat otherwise. The grease pencil won't impact the grade either.
