Been going to Heroes in Campbell, California for more than 20 years.  Once in a while they have a nice $1 bin section with very nice books in there.   I guess they want to clear out their drek inventory, so they offer a fill up your short box for $40.  I can't think of any better deal than this.  This is as good a garage find.  Bagged and boarded.  lots of good reading material for 0.25 cents a book.  Any boardies have similar stories?  I use to live up in the Sacramento area and A1 comics use to have nice $1 bargain bins section.

I once filled a long box at Heroes of VF/NM to NM+ bronze priced at $5-$10 @ 40% off.  I miss those days.

Thanks again for working with us on this and informing us of the Newsstand Editions versus Direct. For any other customers who had a newsstand but whose pricing originally reflected a direct, we are reviewing these currently. If you already received an offer yesterday, we will be following up with you shortly with an adjusted offer accordingly. If you have not yet received an offer letter and your book has already completed its review, we are still waiting on the insurance company to review some of these situations. Once we have more information, our team will follow up with you.

@Mdesimone, Thanks again for your patience and for bringing this error to our attention! We appreciate your understanding.

I have still not received any offer. Can anyone explain to me why CGC has to wait for the insurance company to approve any offer? If insurance doesn't approve, is CGC not going to make their customers whole? I also have no idea why this has taken months, when it would take anyone with any knowledge of comics no more than 30 minutes to determine.

  3. California - South Bay (Near San Jose)

    Heroes Comics

    24 E Campbell Ave, Campbell, CA 95008

Old school store with tons of Gold/Silver/Bronze raw & graded books. My go-to comic store in the South bay. Good prices.

    Heroes and Champions

574 E El Camino Real Sunnyvale, CA 94087

Great staff and selection of back issues (raw and graded Silver/Bronze). Good prices.

    Bronze Age Batcave

    20 S Santa Cruz Ave # 112, Los Gatos, CA 95030

Interesting store. If I had to describe it, it looks like if some collected for 40 years then stuck their entire collection in a shop. Their prices are very high, but they have pretty much everything you could want. Huge wall of raw books/magazines/esoteric items and 500-1000? slabs with many keys.
