ASM lot of 3. ASM 1 (2018) is NM. $15. SOLD
-
Takes: First takeit in the thread wins and immediately trumps all ongoing PM negotiations. I reserve the right to overrule takes in the event that a PM deal is concluded and I hadn't yet had a chance to mark an item sold. Any variation of "takeit" counts. Please do not edit takeits and please do not commit to buy unless you intend to follow through. Payment: I accept Zelle, check, money order or cash. I prefer no PayPal or Venmo but will accept it if it's a must. Payment expected in 72 hours unless we work it out ahead of time. Who can buy: No Hall of Shamers or Probies, or anyone on my personal list. Shipping: $5 unlimited within the US. International shipping will be at cost and must be determined prior to sale. Returns: Three days' return shipping from receipt. Buyer is responsible for shipping cost back unless item was damaged in transit.

Where in the world was the Quality Control at CGC???
Ryan. replied to Wally's Comics's topic in Comics General
One of their press releases last year stated that they brought in efficiency experts to review processes and reduce steps. Evidently one of the steps those experts advised eliminating was quality control. -

I bought one single sketch and nothing else. I just could not find any books I felt I needed. I'm sure there were deals to be had but I was pretty specifically focused on GA and prices for those were...healthy.- 93 replies

That booth was interesting. The dealer had a couple small racks of books, maybe two or three dozen total, including a bunch of pulps. Very underwhelming display. And then you look down at his table and BAM Detective 27 in a glass display case.- 93 replies

Why wouldn't this be in a blue label? It's clearly overgraded but that chunk missing is not a basis for a qualified label.

I've read every single issue of Usagi that Sakai has done, starting about a decade ago via the collected editions and continuing on today through the monthly single issues. It's the only long running series of which I've read every issue. I enjoy it quite a lot. With that said it's a niche property steeped very firmly in a specific time period that won't hold much appeal to a broad audience. This is likely why the animated series will be placed in the future instead of Edo period Japan. My biggest frustration with the property is that I idiotically sold my copy of Albedo 2 and now it's too expensive to get back.

Of course not. Comics like the ones I posted above have always been around. People just love their backinmydayisms.

What's in your "long term speculation" box?

Interesting. I'll happily buy on the downswing. -

Ryan. replied to Wally's Comics's topic in Comics General
Agree. CGC is making more money than ever. They likely see their huge backlog as a good problem. -
Shortboxed doesn't hold the book.
