  1. I had big plans to put together the full run of Contact Comics 1-12. I believe this is the only series longer than 2 or 3 issues that features cover art by LB Cole on every issue. Once the pandemic hit I put this challenge on hold and now my focus has shifted a bit so if someone wants to pick up where I left off, or just wants a bunch of nice GA Cole books in one shot, this is a good group to grab. Obviously issue 12 is the big boy in the run but the preceding 11 issues are pretty fantastic in their own right and some of the books are legitimately tough. With how hot Cole and GA war have been I expect there is still room for growth on these. I tried to get the best copies I could find, which in some cases, were the ONLY copies I could find. The list: Contact Comics 3 CGC 4.0 OW/W; one of twelve on the census. $250. Contact Comics 4 CGC 4.5 OW/W; one of nine on the census. $275. Contact Comics 7 Good+; only ten on the census. $75. SOLD Contact Comics 8 CGC 3.5 OW/W; one of eleven on the census. $225. Contact Comics 10 CGC 6.5 OW/W; one of thirteen on the census. $450 Contact Comics 11 VG; only fourteen on the census. $200. Or take all 6 above for $1200 (good until one book sells)

  3. Hi Sharon Can I take, in small, if you still have them, the following three: Trucks Peppa Pig Miles Morales
  4. I bought the first edition softcover version directly from Jeff Smith at SDCC in 2004. How does this information help this thread at all? It doesn't!
  5. The prevalence of SCS would prevent me from ever spending real money on a 9.9. Every 9.9 is a 9.8 waiting to happen.
  6. Good read! Thanks for the research. For the record I store my slabs in these:
  7. The theory that storing them upright will allow for gravity to pull down on the staples and damage the book over time doesn't really pass the logical physics sniff test for me. Unless we are talking thousands of years.
  8. I'm guessing Space Usagi may see some heat since the animated series may be based somewhat on that concept.
  9. Sounds like it's based on the Space Usagi series. They had an opportunity to make a unique series based on Fuedal Japan, with years of comic stories to provide plot points and... they are setting it in the future. I find that baffling.
  10. "Amazing Spider-Man Annual #1 in 6.5" https://www.cloudninecomics.com/cgi-cloudninecomics/sb/ss_mb.cgi?storeid=*22b7168a690ca8741ba51004c42694dd4f36c4&ss_parm=Adaa9416f9f33007bb0a1c49a06f455d9
  11. If there's enough sales data to establish a reliable FMV then the book isn't that rare. Keep looking. The hunt is the best part.
