  1. Take Hawk 12 per private message exchange between myself and the original poster of this sales thread.
  2. We have, absolutely. No issues. I was just responding to the concept of reneging in the context I had mentioned, which I have been subject to several times as a seller here, not going after you specifically.
  3. Asking for an out because of a missed flaw or being too eager with a take is different than demanding an out on the first take because the buyer felt that automatically entitled him to heavy discounts on additional purchases. As a seller I've always let people out of their takes if it's really an issue for them. I'm not going to force someone to buy something they don't really want. However, depending on context, I may or may not tell every other seller i know to avoid that buyer and add him to their personal do not deal lists.
  4. You slabs-must-be-stored-flat people are overthinking it.
  5. For sure. I've been getting into these DC romance ten centers lately. Romita, in particular, did some great work.
  6. Wow, just looked that company up. They make some crazy figures. Golden Age heroes, The Tick, Goon. Even a Larry Hama figure!
  7. Secret Hearts 59 GD/VG. Structure of VG but moisture stains on covers. Great cover. $25
  8. Girls Romances 62 GD. Centerfold detached. $20
  9. Love Romances 84. GD+. Jack Kirby cover. Matt Baker interior art. $30
  10. My Own Romance 72. GD/VG. Jack Kirby cover. Stan Lee stories. Matt Baker interior art. $40. SOLD
  11. My Own Romance 71. GD/VG. Jack Kirby cover. Stan Lee stories. Matt Baker, Al Williamson and Joe Sinnott interior art. $50
  12. So the value of the copies sitting in blue labels have probably now skyrocketed. Kewl.
  13. You will likely get closer to FMV if you are trading up for a book with a combination of book(s) + cash. So if you want $300 for your books, for example, and a dealer has a $1000 book you like, offering your books plus $700 in cash will likely get you the $1000 book. Whereas, if you want $300 for your books in trade straight up for the dealer's $300 in inventory, that probably won't happen.
  14. Is Comics Buyers Guide 847 worth anything?
  15. MCS has always been ultra liberal with regards to notating scuffs on slabs, in an effort to reduce potential returns. When I send in slabs for consignment I just assume the listing will mention scuffs, and I assume buyers have caught on to that as well, basically ignoring the listing notes and instead looking at the scans to make their buying decisions.
