you sure that's Maggie? looks like future Carl It certainly looks like where Carl is headed. Spot on. Current Maggie was just put there to compare to current Carl to show how non-distinct Carl looks from her (except for the eye-patch). It's a shame.

Anyone know much about the last issues of Transformers? How low was the low print runs on the last few books? Are they actually that hard to find...or not? Starting at around issue 70 or 71 they started having low print runs. I have had ok luck with finding later issues in the wild. About 6 months ago i found a dealer at a local flea market and picked up #79 and 80 for a buck. The 79 was vf/nm and the #80 was around fine. NOt super hard to find but hard to find in good condition . Yeah, I picked up #79 and #80 for 5 bucks yesterday - from an ex-retailer. He had a run from about #20-80 and I was wondering whether it was worth picking up #70-77 (no #78 unfortunately), just from a collection POV - not interested in ever selling them. I try to collect runs that are genuinely hard to find, if I can grab them at a good price - but I'm not sure if the print runs on these Transformers issues were relatively low or genuinely low.. I'd love to know how many of each of the last 10 issues were printed but I'm not sure that it's possible to find out

When did a 5 year old kid start pencilling this book? I've heard a lot of complaints about the artwork, but it didn't really hit me until this issue. Abysmal... Imagine "that" scene with Pre #20 attention to detail....

Vengeance of Bane is a title to keep a very close on eye on, imo, in terms of market response to films. It's a tough call on whether not to sell VOB now, or wait until after the film has been released to the public. The reaction to this film, instead of the hype leading up to it, may actually have a greater influence on any market movement, similar to the Avengers. I decided to go early and I've got a copy in the MCS auction as we speak. It finishes the day before the movie opens so we'll see.

What's the deal with Nightwing at the moment?

A slabbed 8.0 sold for over $500 a couple of weeks ago. Can't find it in the completed listings now but it was BIN. People want a copy. Condition is secondary to actually obtaining one.

Not a knock on you, obviously, but I can't believe people are considering a solicitation mag a first appearance. I mean, technically, Previews probably has the first appearances of half of new modern characters. Maybe I should go stockpile whatever issue of previews shows the cover image of NYX #3 or, better yet, Walking Dead #1!! Previews #25896712 - the first appearance of Rick Grimes! Great point! However, I bet there are quite a few people out there who would buy the Previews mag that first solicited WD #1. I would buy one.

Not sure if this the right thread for this but didn't want to start a new one. Really more of a foreign price variant but, anyway, wanted to know if it is slightly more valuable than the traditional copy? Or not?

The cover for #3 was going to be the cover for #1. That's the cover they pitched to Image with the idea for the book, hence the date. Thankfully, someone at Image had words and we got an awesome cover for #1 and one my all-time favourite covers for #2. Phew.
