  1. Another one gone http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=320932891995
  2. Another awesome thing about #1, if I may, is that there were no variants, no second printings, no exclusives - it was a pure #1 that no one saw coming.
  3. I'm betting that #1 will go up before it goes down and I'll tell you why. There's at least three more seasons of the show to come and it will keep going on if the ratings are solid. There's at least another 100 issues in the monthly series. So, what's that, 8-9 years, minimum. Unless Kirkam wants to stop. But, from what I've read in the 'hacks' pages, that doesn't seem likely. Even then, if the book is selling 50,000 copies a month, someone else will take over. Also, Kirkman didn't just create a story here, IMO, he created a "universe". There are so many stories that can be told. "The Walking Dead" is just one series in that universe. I wouldn't be forking out $500 for a copy of #1 either - I paid $30 for mine - but $500 might not be a bad price now, we just don't know. That is what makes this hobby so interesting. To me at least.
  4. Here is something I read today regarding the books lifespan. I was reading the letter hacks in the back of issue 47 (March 2008) and Kirkman, talking about the sales figures, says: "If we started losing readers at a slow rate we could probably still make it until 150 before things started looking ugly". Considering the print run on issue 47 was about 22,000, and the current print run is about 35,000, this book could be around for a very long time.
  5. That car is pretty awesome, very awesome, but, when a huge korean car manufacturer wants to get in on the action, you know a title has officially gone uber-mainstream. Kinda kills this one for me. #100 will be the last issue I buy of this title - then I'll just collect the compendiums every few years to see what's been happening.
  6. The only issue I need now is #6. I'm determined to get it for cover
  7. That's true, but Saga #1 didn't have a print run of 300,000. Even if that number consists of several different variants, exclusives, watches and other rubbish... that's an enormous number and it sticks with you. I'd pay more for the RRP of Saga #1 in 9.8 then I would for a 1:200 Walking Dead #100 in 9.8.
  8. Why not dude, you only paid $2.99 for it. Put it up for a 3 day auction.
  9. #3 and #4 are first prints. You can check what printing the #2's are by looking inside the front cover.
  10. How can you tell if #2 is a 2nd print? It says "FEB" on cover. 1st print says "NOV" Thanks (thumbs u
  11. Picked up a 2nd printing today. Only a Fine copy but I got it at a very fair price. I'm working my way up - just need one more to complete the set....
  12. Thanks for the comments guys. Yeah, got it off ebay. Tough book, I was looking for a decent copy for a while.
