  1. Apparently they don't allow GA reprints... the mods pulled my thread within 5 minutes...on a Sunday. Whatever... these are cool!
  2. If you're asking us, it's a pretty good indication you don't really want the book...if you did, you'd already have it. I do a hard pass on water stains. Once a book kisses water, it's pretty much ruined IMHO. It's not that rare of a book. Save your cash up for a better copy and be thrilled with it.
  3. I'm not an expert in Planets like other collectors, but that copy has the best colors I've seen. Pretty tough book to find as well. Freakin' awesome man. That Weird comics is a classic...that cover is nuttier than a fruitcake.
  4. Super impressive seller. Easy to deal with. Quick to ship. Carefully packed. The book (a raw GA) looks better in hand than the pics; I don't want to jinx myself, but I'm convinced it was under-graded. Just a beauty of a book and a nice, easy transaction. Hopefully we can do business again.
  5. FOR SALE - one copy of Tales From the Crypt 6 (Russ Cochran / Gladstone reprint - 1992) in CGC 9.6 signed on July 15, 2012 by the legendary Jack Davis (RIP). Asking $200 SHIPPED.
  6. This book will remain up for a week. I do not care if it sells or not. I am open to negotiations via PM, but please refer to the rules of sale listed above. There will be no price reductions in the thread itself. As far as I know, Jack Davis signed a few books under the CGC program back in 2012, and that was pretty much it. Someone who is more informed can feel free to correct me if I'm wrong. Regardless, Jack Davis signature books are rare as hen's teeth, and unfortunately, there will never be another signing. The book I have for sale is a REPRINT.
  7. TERMS OF SALE: * * * PLEASE READ THE ENTIRE TERMS OF SALE BEFORE PLACING A BID. I DO NOT MAKE EXCEPTIONS TO THE TERMS LISTED BELOW * * * I will not conduct business with members on the probation list, members listed in the hall of shame, or the handful of members on my ignore list. I do not participate in third-party deals. When you enter into a contract with me, you acknowledge that you are directly responsible for the deal. First in the sales thread wins. Private sales can be arranged and negotiations are entertained via PM, but the most secure and incontestable way to win is to post the directly in the public thread. If a private deal is made via PM, I will modify the sales thread ASAP, but there is always a small chance that someone could beat you in the public thread, so please keep that in mind when entering into negotiations. PAYMENT: Personal check or PayPal Goods and Services accepted. Please contact me with any payment questions before bidding. SHIPPING AND HANDLING: USPS Priority Mail. Signature required. International customers should contact me PRIOR to bidding! RETURN POLICY: No return on this book. Please study the scans, graders' notes, and descriptions carefully. Let me know if you have any questions prior to bidding. __________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ I've been a member of the boards for several years and the total amount of business I've conducted here is deep into the five-figure range, both as a seller and buyer, with several books individually priced in the deep four-figure range. My kudos can be found by going HERE. I look forward to doing business with you!
  8. "nearly" is an important qualifier in my statement. The actors have taken quite a bit of backlash. They are the face of the show. Reasonable people like us understand that it's the fault of the writers, but reasonable people are in the minority these days.
  9. Well, your Tim Sale commission turned out light years better than mine. I'll leave it at that.
  10. Haha! Seriously, I was going back and forth. She was on my lap, bugging me during an online training session. I showed her the picture and asked if I should buy it. She said yes! That was the deciding factor.
  11. per PM I asked my two year old if I should buy it, and she said yes.
  12. You're stuck with it. As long as the artist delivered what was promised (in regards to medium, size, format, basic design), then there is nothing you can, or should, do. Most artists give examples of what they can do at particular price points. As long as the level of detail is similar, once again, there is nothing you can or should do. I've gotten a few turds myself, I'm afraid.
  13. We should make a public service announcement: CGC 9.8s are NOT perfect!
  14. Mylar. No other available product for these purposes is stronger or clearer or longer-lasting. Libraries, universities, museums, and governments around the world use it to preserve their documents. As Uncle Stan would say, "'nuff said".
  15. No. *edit* assuming that both surfaces are free of scouring debris.
  16. Yes. But that's how I roll anyway. And acid-free tape just because.
  17. I think you were surprised that I changed my mind after being presented with a cogent argument. I try to allow logic to reign whenever possible. Sometimes I'm right. Sometimes I have to change my mind.
  18. I'll never forget when we were arguing once... I told you that you were right. You didn't know how to respond to THAT.
  19. It's also helpful for people to refuse the bait when it's dangled in front of you. I've avoided lots of drama by keeping my mouth shut...at least whenever possible.
  20. I would cry if I saw someone fold a Cerebus 1 like that in person. Seriously.
