  1. What happens with a book is nobody's business but the owners.
  2. I thought you hated decapitation covers Rick? Maybe that's why you sold it?
  3. I cursed out the IRS one time...after almost 2 years of attempting to find a resolution. I'd just had it with the red tape and waiting on the phone for HOURS. I blew a gasket. Completely lost it. F-bombs everywhere. I'm still waiting for the audit. *laughing* *not laughing*
  4. I'm done with eBay. By the time you tack on extra to cover all the fees, you've priced the book out of sensible range. Also, they have no love for the seller at all.
  5. Whatever your issue with season 8, it's unfair to hold the actors and actresses accountable for the writers' actions.
  6. Imagine if Take-bot had a sales thread. Give-bot? Speaking of sales threads, this one is a real beauty! GLTWS
  7. Your best copies of... Twisted Tales 1 (1 copy) Twisted Tales 2 (1 copy) Alien Worlds 2 (1 copy) Alien Worlds 4 (1 copy) X-Force 2 (1 copy) I'll make the sixth book (freebie) another copy of X Force 2. Let me know if they've been taken already.
  8. Can you show us pictures of how you are storing the books and what they look like in the bags? I would leave them in the Mylites for sure! My method is Mylites 2 standard sized bags and matching Fullback boards. ACID-FREE, TWO-SIDED TAPE underneath the flap. I store my books upright with the all of the front covers facing the same direction - the front of the box. I use a BCW COMIC BOOK BIN to store my books. I also use Microchamber paper (eBay) - one piece behind the front cover, in the centerfold, and in front of the back cover.
  9. As a former pro musician, Led Zeppelin would be the LAST band I'd want to play after. *EDIT* This has been a delightful sales thread! Killer books Jim!
  10. Pictures would help. The Mylar is much thicker than the poly bags. Perhaps the fluff is merely the thicker material bowing out slightly? I just picked up a modern in a standard sized Mylar and the bag doesn't lie completely against the fullback. It isn't meant to be air tight. You'll have a bit of a wrinkle and that's actually a good thing. As far as the damage to your books...I don't understand, unless you've mishandled them, stored them haphazardly, or used bags that are too small.
  11. This is my guess. I have no idea what he means by air bubbles.
  12. Are you using the proper size? Probably not. The Gerber product is the best in the business, bar none. Never use the "modern" size bags. They are too small, even for moderns! You got to let them breathe. There is a thread in comics general about the proper sizes for Mylar bags. Use the search function to find it. Good luck.
  13. Let me simplify things. First appearance - the first time a character appears in a panel in a comicbook story. Therefore, Hulk 180 is the first appearance of Wolverine.
  14. CGC hasn't been that consistent or transparent about page quality. There's probably little to no real difference between those books. I'd get the higher grade at those levels. I avoid brittle or slightly brittle at all cost. I just won't buy them.
  15. The usage guidelines can be accessed by clicking on the giant red letters at the top of the screen when you visit the forum page. I would say that you can't miss it but....
  16. You have to wait 30 days. Then you can nominate him for the probation list. Protocol is to...first of all...be reasonably patient before you put someone on blast for being a "nonpaying bidder." It's been 72 hours since your PM negotiations and around 24 hours before he posted it in the thread. I see no mention of a deadline in your rules. Unfortunately, the book is tied up for now, at least if you go by the rules. Also, you start by sending one kind reminder, then you wait. Then you send another. Like I said, I'm 99% sure the wait period is a month before anything can be done. If you sell the book from under him after he posted an then you are in danger of being nominated yourself. I'd at least give the guy a week before hitting the panic button.
  17. Any robots David? Maybe we could meet up for barbecue? Best of luck buddy.
