  1. Throughout the 90s and 00s my best friend and I swapped a copy of Wolverine 1 - Limited Series around several times. Ripping each other off every time. It was also the first book that I ever had graded by the CGC. Can't believe I ended up selling it. Really nice copy purchased by his grandparents somewhere in Alabama. I owe him a perfect copy. Maybe a retrograde gift for his 40th.
  2. Seamless transaction from a great buyer! Easy negotiation, good communication, and prompt payment. No worries at all! Thank you so much for your business!
  3. I am more amazed that YOU are taking Romance books now. I don't blame you. The temptation is great! While I'm on the subject, how about those Suzies? I've always been a total sucker for a babe in a little black dress. Great thread Rick. GLWTS.
  4. UPDATE: All orders thus far have now shipped. Sale ends the morning of July 5th. Don't feel shy about making offers on remaining stock!
  5. Since we are being ethical and charitable and stuff, we COULD also donate it to an actual charity.
  6. Nah. I was too busy looking for mint Spawn books back then. No time to read those sort of epic threads.
  7. Geez! I guess I avoided hearing about that drama., or maybe I've forgotten. I was around back then.
  8. I may have said this earlier, but I think it will eventually settle in the 1200-1600 range for a 9.8.
  9. Situation 1 - no, it's not unethical Situation 2 - no, it's not unethical It would be unethical if lies were told in the process. It's up to the seller to know what he has, and the buyer to know what he's getting.
  10. We do NOT need another list. The PL list does NOT prohibit activity. It IS the "shady" list. Someone either breeches a contract, or they don't.
  11. Agreed. He is on the PL where he belongs, Sucks for him that he will be there forever, but he was given a variety of exit opportunities and failed to secure his reputation. Until he finds the book or produces a sales slip or the original scans, there is really nothing more to say. And with that, I pledge to say no more. Good luck to everyone.
  12. He lost the book. He lost (erased) pictures of the book. He also does not have any record of sale. All of this within a span of three weeks. Yep. Nothing fishy here. Move along, I've heard of a book "having legs" but now I guess we are to take that idiom literally.
  13. My whole argument is that this establishes a dangerous precedent. Sellers can simply say "I lost the book, here's your money back." That's all it takes? Really? No good. You're giving sellers a loophole through which they may cancel transactions. If this guy can lose a book and is telling the truth, then maybe I can as well, right? And maybe you can...and her...and him...and.....
  14. Yes. HOS is for repeated offenses, or something massively egregious like outright theft.
  15. EDIT...this has been upped to Hall of Shame status? I was unaware.
  16. I couldn't disagree with you more. I won't rehash the reasons why the story is . Anyone interested can seek out the thread. But I do support democracy, therefore I support Red's proposal. Also, it's important to realize that the probation list does not prevent anyone from doing business here. It's just as easy for a seller to remain on someone's "good list" as it is to be placed on someone's "personal" list. With due diligence, anyone wary of doing business can conduct the appropriate research on any member and decide for themselves. The link to the discussion is posted next to everyone's name. The person in question has been given SEVERAL fair opportunities for redemption and has failed to meet every...single...one. Absolutely probation worthy.
  17. Insane deal on the Planet 64 IMHO. I have the other 9.2 and it's an Okajima and not going anywhere soon. The 9.2s are only out-ranked by one copy. One of the very coolest late-run covers IMHO. Good luck with the sale; hope you didn't mind the bump.
  18. UPDATE: Invoices sent. Items purchased thus far should ship Wednesday pending payment. The thread will close the morning of July 5th. Thanks everyone! Although the prices for singles will see no more cuts, no decent proposal will be turned down on bulk deals, so hit me up via PM if you are interested in anything. - Shane
