  1. I would guess you're right. My back issue collecting mainly is for first appearances and runs of series I grew up with. I think $25 is pushing it though.
  2. I purchased a IH #181 CGC 8.0 from David. He quickly provided me additional photos of the book so I could verify it was the right copy for me. He provided good communication throughout the sale. He provided the tracking number quickly. Once the book arrived I found it to be very well packaged and I was very pleased with the book. I wouldn't hesitate to purchase a book from David in the future. Thank you again!
  3. Very good transaction. The book was well packed and very fast shipping!
  4. Thanks man! I guess I never get why some books take off where others don't when they share all the same characteristics.
  5. Great art, good story, 1,000,000 print run, what's not to like?
  6. Agreed. Marvel Spotlight #5 still has a following. I wished during the auction it was a bit less of a following though. Maybe next time.
  7. I bid in the final minutes and thought I was going to win it, but turns out there were two bidders who wanted it more. I didn't expect it to go for so much.
  8. Are you talking about the one that ended Wednesday? That one ended for $470 not $410 if we are talking about the same copy.
  9. Whether it is an wins an academy award or we get sharknado 4, it is a good time to be a Valiant fan.
  10. I would also add to what you've said in they are a young company and still hungry and willing to put in the extra effort to get their market share and they are run by a CEO who is also a fan. I think the effort shows in a lot of their books. Britannia, Savage, Divinity, the new X-O..... Great paper quality, beautiful art, compelling stories.
  11. FYI, The Divinity #1 1:40 print run was ~350 not 200. The Savage #1 1:50 was ~300. Dinesh has confirmed both.
  12. I agree. We have very limited information. I'm not saying the sale was a shill. It was a very expensive item though so when I see some things that I question I think it worth sharing with the community. It is not an attack on this item or the market for them.
  13. Winning bidder. 11 feedback. 25% bid activity with the seller. 3 bid retractions in 6 months. Then again the next highest bidder 134 feedback. 55% bid activity with the seller. 0 bid retractions in 6 months. Then again third highest bidder 255 feedback. 27% bid activity with the seller. Bid retractions 2. 6 bid retractions in 6 months. When you only bid on 4 items in 30 days it's not hard to have 25% with one seller. I probably bid on less items than that in 30 days. Am I a shill as well? Do you also have 3 bid retractions in the last 6 months? Probably not. Leaps and bounds on guessing for a bid retraction. What if the person was bidding on GoodNewsComics auctions? A shilled auction Haha leaps and bounds. Huh. Looks like some leaps and bounds are being made making assumptions it was a GoodNewComic auction where the bid retractions came from.
  14. Good luck with your little guy!

  16. Couldn't the printer have been running out of black ink says someone who knows nothing about printing?
