Of all of my Shadows, this is my favorite.

The Strasser copy of “The Partners of Peril” from Nov. 1/36.

In my opinion it is the quintessential image of The Shadow himself (now if I had a Creeping Death in this condition they would be tied dead even as my favorite, as I think The Creeping Death is the overall most popular image).

The white is so white on this cover that looks like it’s just been printed!  If there’s any yellow tinge in the picture at all in the white, it’s just from the scanner.  The paper is white like the Yakima, but I’m not going to risk taking a picture of the paper.

BTW:  Much of the storyline was swiped by Bob Kane and later used in Detective 27

    Beautiful!

  2. The drugs being touted as "why Not" seem to be working in many cases [See Representative from Michigan}.  As to side effects that seems to be a bit foolish in the sense that almost all drugs have side affects.  Just listen to any drug commercial on TV or read the paperwork included with the RX.  In many cases they seem worse than the illness.  Yes, I our drug companies have many faults but just watch where the cures come from.  Not interested in single payer system.  " You can keep your doctor, hospital and insurance company" Yea Right!

I'm a fan! Although I only have two of them. I got them at a flea market many years ago. A huge collection surfaced for $5. each. I didn't know much about pulps at the time so I bought all the horror, crime and wild covers until my money ran out. I watched a guy scoop up a whole bunch of Oriental Stories, Magic Carpet and the Weird Tales I left because I didn't like the covers of as much. As I said, didn't think much about it because I was completely unfamiliar with pulps at the time. Probably the best load of pulps I've ever seen or will see...:sorry:

We all have missed out on  books we should have bought.  I feel your pain but we just can't get them all.  I too collected comics before pulps and missed out on some great collections.
