It can be a drag, but it's another day above ground, I keep telling myself. They tell me it can be a year to even make it back to 50%. Some aspects are improving faster than I expected. Fatigue, unfortunately, is not one of those. GOD BLESS ...

I have a narrow collecting path, but if anyone is thinking of posting pre issue 100 Archie the title or early Richie Rich/Casper, then I'd be happy to spend some of my meager budget. Otherwise I'll take the donation route
Merry Christmas to everyone! Truly a generous and kind bunch. To Jim and his family, hoping for a speedy recovery!
I saw the thread a few days ago and prayed for Jim, I did not have the time to post and although I'm still without a proper income myself I can't at least participate in a small way.
I recently bought a few Archie books here in Italy which I was planning to sell in an upcoming thread, so since I've them scanned I'll try this. I see Patriot has already purchased but maybe they are of interest?
Since I have very little idea on Archie books prices (and I haven't quite figured out) please tell me if I am far from the right spot… They are ungraded yet, more or less in the 3.5-4.5 range I guess.
Take one or both, but unfortunately I can cover the shipping for a single shipment as it's become pretty costly. I will cover Priority up to $20. If you want Registered (tracked) I'd ask to cover for the difference. Both grabbed by Crassus.
I also have a few other Archie issues between 71 and 75, and I can switch them if there is interest.
Archie #72 - $55

I did not know that, but I also did not know much about the Devil Slayer, either!
As a Defenders reader from the David Kraft run (rest in peace!) I loved how he used the character, especially his interaction with Hulk and the other team members, Valkyrie and Dr. Strange.

Let's just say there are a WHOLE lot of people who don't buy your narrative or your character assassination of Stan Lee ... who conveniently isn't around to defend himself. I'm smarmy, huh? I wonder where I get that from? GOD BL;ESS...

Applied a pair of price cuts.
If I find something interesting to add, I'll try to do so in the next days.
Thanks for looking! -

Thanks for asking -- I did put this list in Copper/Modern because the vast majority of the books are post-1980, but you're right that there are exceptions. The books you're noticing that "seem to be Bronze" are, as you suspected, from "Volume 1" of their respective titles. So when I'm listing (for example) Captain America #209, it's the book from 1977.
If you see specific books where you feel my description is ambiguous, please feel free to call those out and I will clarify.
Thanks!

Iron Man #9
British stamp on front cover. Tiny stain upper fc and tear at staple on back cover bring down the grade on an otherwise pretty nice copy.
FNVF/VF- - $95

Hero for Hire #1 (Italian Edition)
Editoriale Corno, 1973
Nicely presenting copy, considered the black cover.
VGFN - $49

Giant-Size X-Men #1 (French Edition)
Éditions Lug, 1981• First French edition of Giant-Size X-Men #1
• Published in the pocket color series "Special Strange" in 1981
• Custom painted cover designed specifically for France by Jean Frisano with the removal of elements considered "too violent"
or offensive for children (e.g. Wolverine is in the background alone).
FN - $75

Hi Lou — I'm confused as far as the series, since you put the thread in "Copper/Modern": many books seem to be Bronze (and thus "volume 1" of specific titles) but since there are no pictures it's unclear.

Osamu Tezuka - Metropolis (First US Edition)
(メトロポリス, Metoroporisu)
Dark Horse, 2003«The inspiration for the central character coming from a publicity still of the female robot from Metropolis (even though he had never seen the film or even known what it was about). [?] The setting was based on pre-war Manhattan and Chicago, Emmy and her sister partly from Les Misérables, Michi's powers from Superman (although Tezuka never made the connection between the title of his work and Superman's city), Michi's burning from The Invisible Ray, and Michi's death scene from The Monstrous Fellows of the Country Underground (another Tezuka manga from 1948). [?] The characters Duke Red and Notarlin made their debut in Metropolis, and both of them featured in later works.»
Copy in awesome shape, in my opinion above NM.

Help - How to grade a complete spine split?
in Comic Book Grading and Restoration Issues
Posted
An interesting topic that I have found now.
Is there a consensus about on how CGC grades a full spine split and a half spine split, then?
And Overstreet criteria how did/do judge this?
