  1. Chances Marvel gets the rights or a piece of the rights back?
  2. Honestly didn't know there was a movie section. Sorry, my bad. Just thought I'd post something. Should know better! Ha.
  3. Just checked rotten tomatoes and so far the movies has a 9% rating. Yikes. I know I read that Marvel and Fox have a strong dislike for each other, studio heads that is. But could this possible lead to Marvel Studio getting the FF rights back? Hope so.
  4. So the post pop up again and I remembered how awful this movie was. Please no more sequels.
  5. If history serves me, I should expect my 3 books sometime late January / early February.
  6. I rarely post, but watching this movie last night made me post. It's upsetting, he's such a huge character and sony will never give up on this franchise because it's their own personal ATM machine. The kid that played harry, well I hope he gives up acting. Paul G, what the hell? Jaime Foxx what the hell? Pretty certain they both won Oscars and they were goofy. Spider-Man was good, Spider-Man 2 was really good it's been down hill since. I'll leave it at that, disappointed. I expect the new FF to be as bad if not worse but that is another ball of wax.
  7. If I saw one more police barricade pop up magically I was going to go crazy. It's a shame, Spidey is a huge character and this was horrendous.
  8. Money is tight in these parts, he sold me a a great cgc book at a great price. Good dude, would buy from him again for sure.
  9. I'm looking to go book in front book in back in one mylar for my cheaper books. Any ideas, I'm all ears.
  10. All fair points, just finished my basement and either my 5K - 6K books will be on book shelves or in boxes in the closet under the stair case. Long boxes are a pain and I think they warp the books. I find myself digging at the comic room pics all the time to see a set up using boxes that doesn't have the "warehouse" feel. Stuff has to be neat and organized or in a closet.
  11. Thanks. Just wasn't sure about these boxes. Figured if they were wildly popular I'd consider. Still might buy a few to see what they are like. Plan is to switch to short boxes in the next year.
  12. This has been discussed before I think. But does anyone actually use the plastic comic boxes? I think BCW is the only company that sells them but I read somewhere that they are water and vermin resistant. If you use them, do you like them? how many books can they hold? are they pretty much the same as the standard boxes? Btw, how much water can they resist is an interesting question to me. Like small flood? Or oooops I spilled a glass a water near the box. Thanks folks.
  13. I've NEVER, ever sold 1 comic but have to date purchased well over 4,000 of them. That said, there are certain books that I just prefer to have in close to perfect condition. Probably because I have zero ability to control my OCD and have some disposable income. So if given the choice between a $30 book and a $120 version of the same, it will come down to how desired that book for me is. Also, i get most of my top books SS CGC'd so I like them in higher grades.
  14. The 8 year old version of me typically just looked at the pictures in the comics but one day I picked up Amazing Spider-Man #284 and was blown away reading it. The book had it all, Hobgoblin, Hammerhead, Jack O' Lantern, Kingpin, Silvermane, The Rose, and I think Punisher. That was the hook. To this day I refuse to re-read that book or story line for fear it would not be as good as I remember it to be.
  15. Started at around 7 or 8, tagging along with my brother and cousin to watch them buy their books. Continued until about 16 or 17 and didn't return until I was 31. At for two years now.
  16. MCS is great if you're looking to fill gaps, most are $1.10 and with the code end up being even less. But expect those books to have problems. Their customer service is pretty solid though.
  17. I stand corrected, didn't realize they were that bad. Honestly, because of their insane mark ups I just never buy from there. Really wish there was a solid one stop shop with decent pricing and spot on grading.
  18. All fair points, I've ordered a ton from MCS in the past few years and prices are great but the books tend to come jacked up. Spots, rips, etc. The few times I used MHC I thought it was overall ok. Thanks. I'm enjoying these boards for sure.
  19. Doesn't seem there are many to choose from. I think the quality at MileHigh is great but the prices are outrageous. Mycomicshop has amazing prices but the quality can be hit or miss or really miss. Any other options?
