  1. I was disappointed; it seems that the show lost its footing as it went on. This last episode makes me feel that I missed an episode somewhere that initiated the plot points that were tied up. Everyone just seemed completely out of character.

  2. Anyone read Ditko's Dark Dominion issues while with Defiant Comics?

I thought that was their best book.

I really liked a lot of the books that Defiant put out and at one point tried to track down an address for Steve Ditko to ask some questions about the book, though I could never find a solid address. I was still pretty young in the early 90's so I didn't quite understand who Ditko was; though I did meet Shooter at a NY convention in Defiants heyday.

  3. To quote an article I read about the reveal:

Cynically, it feels like someone who is out of touch tried to come up with something edgy, and this is the result.

I am sure there will still be much to explain but it just seems like someone who had no idea about a character googled "joker" and said... this looks cool why don't we just tattoo all this on him and people will think it is cool to, they have to it's on the google.

What popped up first when I searched "iconic joker image":

  4. I binge watched this over the weekend and have a couple thoughts.

    1. If this had been a weekly show i would have dropped it after the second or third episode.

    2. I did not like the king pin nor the actors portrayal of him. Every line of dialogue about "the city" reminded me of arrow instead of focusing my attention on Fisk.

    3. I loved the sloppiness of the fight scenes. The fights felt grounded and plausible (more so than the one pu ch instant ko) i like that the thugs got back up!

    4. The actor that played daredevil took some warming up to when not in costume.

    5. Loved Foggy.

    6. By the end I enjoyed it and would like to see a second season, the beginning was rough though.

    7. This is the kind of universe building the punisher could succeed in.

  5. Sometime this summer I will decide if I want to complete my X-Men V2 run in 9.8 or leave it as is and focus on something else.

I have complete raw runs of newer stuff Earth2, avengers arena, Spread and x-men as they are on my pull list. I usually collect runs of titles that I have read before; X-Factor, Rom, Marvel Comics Presents, Ghost Rider and Darkhawk.

  6. This fell flat on its face out of the gate and I do not believe it had any "real" buy orders. Checking on ripple it is not even listed anymore.

This was a very poorly put together scam by someone probably very young looking to make a quick buck. They lacked knowledge of both comics and crypto currency and it showed every time they posted.

  7. I have had an overall good experience in the WTB threads; I have three active threads that have gone silent the last six months. It is important to remember that you are probably not going to find what your looking for in a couple hours or even a couple days, even finding HG drek will take time.

  8. Given the actors they had it would have been great to see Jason David Frank as the green/white ranger in this type of setting. Given how much he has reprised the roll in other mediums it would have been nice.

  9. I like Gotham and will keep watching but they should have killed off fish; I have the same feelings about Barbara (they should have just wrote her out of the show).

Having them both still alive bloats the show and forces aspects that shouldn't be forced or even in the -script at this point making them lose direction as they jump around to "create" a secondary unneeded story.

  10. “It’s not dead, during all – it’s solidly in row for a second deteriorate on NBC, that is still ancillary it,” executive writer David S. Goyer said, according to We Got This Covered. “Constantine got held in a midst of a change that is function during a networks. It gets large numbers on DVR and online views, though it is arrange of a tweener that doesn’t fit a normal observation box during a large networks. It’s not State Of Affairs, it’s only not that kind of show, though NBC likes it.”

Can someone re-translate that to English?

Constantine is not completely dead yet and there is an option for a second season. It doesn't have great time slot ratings unfortunately but over performs on secondary (DVR/Hulu) viewings which is great. Unfortunately that doesn't even out on the network end but they like it.

  11. If you are never in danger of loosing money for current business practices then there will never be a reason to expand. Why hire and train additional people when you can make the customer wait longer (and they are ok with it) for the same or increased price (FT to get books back "quicker").

This isn't just a problem with CCS (though they are the slowest and most expensive option); all pressers are always behind on their TAT and offer FT so you can get your books "faster". It is a solid way to make money and ensure income growth while making the customer pay more for the same service that was advertised.

  12. I have only used CCS for one submission (maybe two years ago); there are successes and failures with each pressing service used, I have more success with others.

Just as an aside, that last sentence forum exchange seems more appropriate for a PM discussion.
