  2. Picked up some books at a small local con tonight: From the $1 boxes! From the golden age (and an oddball): and some guy named jerry was there.
  3. Picked this up for cheaper than I thought it would be, thanks to thecollector. Photo is from sale I haven't had a chance to scan it yet.
  4. There is a 17 page thread on x-men #25 in the modern forum, that's a start!
  5. This is gorgeous and a very tough book to get.
  6. I am not sure who should be more offended Stan or Jim
  7. Figured I would give this shot here.. Looking for some pages from the 1988 X-Men Annual #12. I have not seen any pages from this annual in a very long time, unfortunately.
  8. It counts about as much as using tact does in a chat forum these days. Congrats on the Wolvie 35
  9. MMM had literally tons of stuff (alot of items were adapted to the MMM brand from other toy lines that didn't pan out under the Mattel brand). There is currently a movie in the development stage based on the toy line. I wont bore anyone with the details cause I could (and have on occasion) talked for hours about toys, the branding, and even the warehouse finds in the late 90's that dropped the price of the evil alien scorpio from 2k to 200$ !
  10. I was a child of the 80's so I grew up on star wars/He-Man/GI Joe and loads of other popular 80's toys (I was spoiled ) But my favorite toys were 20 years before my time... I was a huge fan of everything space! When I would visit my grandparents over the summers MMM would be waiting for me. My Grandfather was a fan of space items as well and back in the day used my aunts/uncles/mother as an excuse to buy tons MMM toys (enough to probably keep the local woolworths in business ). I still have most of the collection, though they are broken with rusted wires, cracked plastic, and missing stickers. They are some of my most cherished possessions.
  11. Love those Denny O'Neil DC's, hopefully mine will be in today.
  12. Finally tracked down a 9.8 Harbinger pull box variant to go with my regular SS.
  13. Just got back my first invoice of books from Project ComicCon last month- Edit: oops the new x-men shouldn't be in there (was a freebie with a purchase not at PCC)
  14. Now seems to be a really bad time to sell WD. The heat from the season final and the overall run has become luke warm. Though keeping it and bringing it to a convention for a couple sigs would greatly increase its value if you think it is a solid 9.8 and can hold up to multiple gradings. I had my #19 SS up on the bay for a crazy price, more as a look what I can show off than anything. Until someone actually bought it I like the idea of having modern keys that are hotly desired, the knowledge that there are thousands of these in high grade condition but yours is still worth a comparable silver age key. I think an unexplainable expensive modern book that has no business being worth what it is, is a great addition to any collection.. it just gives you that 90s feel. It is hard to explain but it just fills that warm soft spot in my collectors heart.
  15. It looks real, but we would need to see a picture of the back of the medal and clasp to make sure (looks like a type IV). Most of the fake ones will not have the enamel work on the top (it will look like the reverse) or "For Military Merit" on the reverse of the medal. Also did it come with the ribbon and small ribbon pin in the case?
  16. Does CGC note Pedigree on slabs for Moderns? My original thread in General HERE about the modern Savannah Pedigree auction from HNAI HERE.
