Aren't there more dealers at Vancouver's smaller shows? Isn't there a monthly show?
The Fraser Valley Comic Show in Matsqui has more comic vendors than this. If I had know there would be such a lack of comic vendors, I'd have bought a table and sold at the show myself and done a killing

I sure hope u have already prepaid for your ticket, as FEV has allegedly already sold out of regular admission tickets for both Sat. and Sunday per FEV FB post. Think Star Trek: Next Generation media guests are still signing on Monday, so best of luck.
Got a 3 day pass ages ago. Incredibly disappointed with the lack of (quality) comic vendors. But, still beyond pumped for the massive Star Trek presence this year

I would also highly recommend to CGC they create some labels of PUBLIC DOMAIN characters/events so they will not have to worry about paying ongoing license fees to maintain. Investing in a graphic designer to do up some would also give CGC control of exactly how it fits/looks on the label rather than being at the mercy of whatever art is provided to them by a publisher.
One idea of this would be offer a custom SOTI label for any book that appeared in the Seduction of the Innocent trials. Could be as simple as a graphic logo, or a collage of 'gruesome' art used in the trial, or even perhaps a drawing of the court room during the actual event!
Was going to post the exact same thing. I would LOVE to see some Golden Age custom labels, specifically a SOTI one!

I saw 1 (Facebook) FB ad posting for the Fan Expo Vancouver (fev) last week but saw DAILY FB ads for their Fan Expo Portland, Oregon on the SAME weekend. Their color flyers should be out at the LCS's 7 to 10 days b4 the Expo per normal. Headliners: comics artist Jason Fabok (Joker) and K. Don Rosa (Disney Ducks).
Yeah really weird they would overlap like that. At least there's a good group of Star Trek guests coming from Portland directly to Vancouver! Excited about that

I have no problem paying by check or money order when I buy a book—in fact, I prefer it because I don't use PayPal often enough to remember that process (or even how to log in).
However, "Slightly Brittle" pages are an absolute deal breaker for me and for many other collectors as well. I would never consider a book with slightly brittle pages for any price. I might consider cream-to-off-white* pages for a very scarce book if the price was right. But slightly-brittle pages? Never.
Not every collector cares about page quality, so I do think that the book would sell through a venue that put more eyes on it than the CGC boards. I have no idea what it might sell for, but I would expect it to sell at a significant discount versus a book with cream-to-off-white pages.
You could try My Comic Shop if you're not comfortable with the no-reserve auction format. They cross-list everything on eBay (at a slightly higher price in order to cover the fees).
*"What about light-tan-to-off-white?" you ask? It would have to be an extremely rare, highly desirable book with known pages quality issues, such as Motion Picture Funnies Weekly #1—in fact that's the only book I can think of off the top of my head that I might consider buying with light-tan-to-off-white pages.)
Something weird is going on at CGC as I have seen a MASSIVE uptick in Golden Age books getting "slightly brittle" pages. It's all been in the last few months as well. Really bizarre. Seen a few subs, their entire submission came back slightly brittle.
