  1. Yup. Expect Graviton to be a villian in an upcomming episode. (But I bet they don't call in the Avengers for it).
  2. The only way they can "reform" him is if they explain that he's been using Fitz's good night rounds. Though that would be a tough sell.
  3. That would be the beauty of these movies being exact copies of each page in a comic. You could bring the comic to the theater and call out during the movie, "That's the scene from page 8, panel 4. Good stuff. Wait until we get to page 9, panel 1. It is going to be killer!" Man. Imagine the dates you could get then!
  4. Very cool. I tried to post my response in my sleep last night, but I guess I forgot to hit submit. The Mark X (or whatever they are) definitely remind me of Nimrod.
  5. Just got back from my first viewing. Fantastic. And +1 to everyone saying great job by Robert Redford.
  6. Saul Steinberg? His New Yorker's view of the world?
  7. WTTB Kevin. This is very cool. When I was in junior high school my best friend was in a remedial reading class and they used comic books as well. This was the late '70's and his (and my) favorite was Miller's Daredevil. Oh and the comics worked well enough that not only did he graduate, but he got a college degree in history. The power of comics!

  9. Man I picked the wrong week to vacation in England. Fascinating reading to say the least.
  10. Thx Harv A wise man pointed out you can also just google 'collector's society' and what yer lookin for. I prefer using this, it gives much more relevant results. Even better.
  11. Congrats to your Gators. At least my Vols made the Dance (albeit with a play-in game in Dayton). Gee that's odd. My Hawks made the dance with a play-in game in Dayton as well.
  12. and if you are going to have a sales thread are you going to sell me a Catman #28? And what's the coupon code for %50 off?
  13. That Supernatural Thrillers #1 is SUWHEET!
  14. Here it is. Not taking a position. Just giving link.
  15. I said it before and I'll say it again. As long as both parties were happy with the trade is wasn't so one sided as to be a rip off on either side. As far as future values I have no idea. And to be honest no one here does. Both could go up, one or the other could go up, or the bubble could burst on both of them.
  16. Most recent sale is the most unreliable way to judge value of two comics. If this trade had happened October 13th of last year the numbers would have been: Most recent sale of CGC 4.0 AF 15 was $11,500. Most recent sale of CGC 9.6 TMNT 1 was $6,600. Which is no better comparison of the relative values than your example today is. Much better to use 90 day and 1 year averages. Using them the TNMT is about a thousand less. That said if everyone is happy with the trade I see no problem with it. They are at least in the same ballpark of each other.
  17. I started at $2250 because there were a few $2500 sales at that point in time as the season opened and dropped the price to $1900 and I think I entertained a $1700 offer through the forums, or something like that. Ended up getting my $1900 ask without fees elsewhere. I meant the selling forums. If it's a fairly common book it's usually just boardies trolling for a cheap flip. Tougher, more desirable books will fetch strong money but they are not the norm. Not all of us are trolling for the flip. But there used to be the idea that you would price on the boards a little below what you would get on eBay as you didn't have to pay the eBay fees.
