  1. Well Happy Birthday. Great! Now you have him feeling guilty that he didn't start you a birthday thread. Are you happy?
  2. Gweedo's Showcase has CGC frames with UV glass for $30 and with museum glass for around $60. And the jury is out how much fading you even get from ambient light.
  3. I just want to know what you did that you got Scotch from CGC!
  4. I love the work. It looks like you have a pretty competent artist as it looks like what it's supposed to. Are you planning on getting it colored? Or are you keeping it black and white?
  5. Under UV protected glass I hope? Displaying comics, even in a CGC slab is just asking for cover fading. No UV glass, but no direct sunlight either. In my stairwell leading upstairs.
  6. I've got a question: If you could ask Greggy any question what would you ask him?
  7. Great comics, great price, great packaging, and fast shipping. Add in a pledge of support to Mike's widow and daughter and it's pretty much all you could ask for in a seller here.
  8. I've signed up. Now I just need to order a ccd legal-size flatbed scanner. You say the site is free, but now I find I need to spend a ton of money just to post my slabs!
  9. Does anyone actually use the metric system in their day to day life? If someone asks me how tall I am or how much I weight I still don't reference kilos or meters and if I did people would probably would look at me funny. Carry on. Pretty much no-one uses the metric system... other than the 6.6 billion people who don't live in the U.S.
  10. Some Schomburg Nedors just back from Joey and CGC:
  11. I finally watched it last night and would give it a 6 our of 10. Not bad. Not great. I'll probably check out another episode or two.
  12. Only the most boring one possible. I got my school tattoo in '84, dropped out and opened a comic book store in '88, and got out of the biz and went back to school to get a degree in computer science in '92. In '96 I married my ex-wife who hated tattoos and piercings so removed my various piercing and stopped getting the one tattoo every 4 years to represent my life that had been my plan. Now that I'm divorced maybe time to get my kids initials for the next in the line. Here's the three tattoos: Here's the kids:
  13. Just got the Marvel Donruss Cards from Boyd. Took a bit since he was waiting on the final two cards to the set, but he kept me in the loop the whole time. I'd definitely order from Boyd again! Well packaged and great condition. (Oh and I thought the price was a steal too.)
  14. Totally shut out of the Marvel Mysteries I bid on. And the Sub Mariner and Young Men too. I had better luck with the Heritage Auction. Won 2 of 4 I bid on.
  15. Got some Steranko oddities from Paul. Great transaction other than one thing. He shipped the shipment in a Macbook Pro box and got me all excited.
  16. Well it's not a room exactly. Some people have family photos on the walls of the stairway. I think this works much better.
  17. Bought a Nick Fury #1 in high grade from Jeff. Seamless transaction. Great to work with.
  18. Great comics. Great price. Well packaged. Quickly shipped. All in all great transaction. Thanks, Bob. Purchased Nick Fury Agent of Shield #'s #2 cgc 9.6 ow/w #4 cgc 9.6 white #5 cgc 9.6 ow/w #7 cgc 9.4 ow/w
  19. Just bought a high grade Captain America 113 from Collin. Came extremely quickly and in great shape. I'd definately buy from Collin again. As soon as I get my CGC frames it's going up on my wall. Thanks Collin.
