  1. Got my X-Men #10 today. Very tightly graded. Packaging material that I can use for the next 6 months. Great transaction, thanks Jeremy.
  2. Going down faster than something that goes down really fast! I never was very good at this game.
  3. Got a Schomburg GA comic from Dan today. Great transaction. Great communication. Bulletproof packaging. Highly Recommended.
  4. No kidding you jerk. You got me all misty eyed over a made up story.
  5. probably not, but one never knows....that is some good eating Would I be able to get the chicken biscuits on a Sunday morning, if that happened? my guess is yes. One of my friends from church owns a couple of chick fil a's in town. We have gone on mission trips to Thailand and brazil. Great guy and he tells me they will always stay closed on Sundays I just always find that when I want them, it's on a day I can't get them. thats unfortunate. I had a #6 today. Yum Great. Now we'll have to listen to what other numbers people had today. (I'm thinking of the first two numbers here). Then again, this is the Gold forum, not CG. And maybe I headed off those jokes simply by posting this.
  6. It was obviously pulled out of the 2 4 1 box at the comic store. They used to sell old comics that had gone past the pull date 2 for 12¢. Often times kids would claim any comics came they brought up to purchase were out of the 2 for 1 box. As a result many shopkeepers started marking the backs of the comics with 2 for 1 or simply 2/4 on the backs of the comics.
  7. The trick I've heard is to leave the cover open.
  8. It's easy to see why Sharon has such a good rep on the boards. Very quick ship. Well packaged. Grading was, if anything, low. Superb communication. Great price. Thanks for the Thrilling Comic.
  9. From the rounded bottoms of the numbers it is a 3.5, 6.5, or 8.5. It's too nice for a 3.5 and I don't think it could get an 8.5, so... EDIT: I just realized it's probably easier to look up the number. Yup, 6.5 it is.
  10. Dear G.A.tor, What will the lottery numbers be this Wednesday? Someone is posting sweet sweet comics in the Golden/Silver/Bronze Age thread and I need some cash. Thanks, thunsicker
  11. The good news is that over the last 9 years TWD 1 in 9.8 has averaged 48% growth per year! The great news is that this means in less than 16 more years this becomes a million dollar book at that rate. The bad news is that this is actually a sign of a bubble, not real growth.
  12. GIMP is just the open source PhotoShop. It can be complicated, but it doesn't take too much to do something simple like stitching together some photos. If you need step by step just pm me.
  13. Definitely time for you to get a little good luck.
  14. Ok. The big question is, are you up to 100 PM's yet?
  15. That comic is an absolute classic. Unfortunately, it therefore commands classic prices so I have to stick with my spirit sections.
  16. And if this somehow becomes a collectible we'll know it's the 90's all over again.
  17. If you mean the Spirits that's probably because Wally Wood got his start in Eisner's studio.
  18. And since this is a multi-Artist thread this is a perfect jumping off point for some Eisner!
  19. Got some early silver age Marvel's from Brock. Great transaction, I'd definitely buy from him again.
  20. Phil picked up an ASM from me. Fast payment and excellent communication.
  21. Just got a Steranko X-Men slab from Bob that he donated to Fay's charity thread. Fast ship, very well packaged, and excellent communication. And obviously a big heart with such a big donation to the charity thread. I can't say enough positive things about Bob.
  22. I'd like to put in a vote for Eisner's Spirit Sections. They were small but very good. And depending on the newspaper you got it from there weren't other boring things to read.
