  1. The good news is that they are still reasonable, but over cover.
  2. The deal with the variants is this (and e.s. would say the same thing)... If you don't like 'em, don't buy 'em. We went through this with Bedlam and Spencer's response was a good one regarding variants, which basically said that publishers don't care about secondary markets. Their goal is to sell books, increase exposure, and expand readership. If it does well on the secondary market, great. But that's not their focus.
  3. But the problem I have with this and a lot of collectors is the fact that this is a manufactured collectible in the truest sense of the word. It's artificially creating a "rare and collectible " item. Golden Age and to a certain point Silver Age is the reason they are so valuable is because no one saved them because they might have value. As we all know, that's what happened with the whole Death of Superman and all those X Facor 1, X Men 1, Spawn 1, etc..... This book is just the variant du jour.... And I want one bad !!! I'm with you 100% I know about death of superman. You manufacture collectibility to increase demand and sales. But, if you get to the point that Superman did you kill value. Value is not a factor for publishers. Images' goal is to grow the series. I think they are succeeding (e.s. confirmed a nearly 40% increase in sales). Exclusives create hype. Hype = buzz. Buzz is good. If I wasn't already on the train I'd be looking for a way to get on.
  4. I think it was Col. Mustard in the study with a hatchet. Proceed with the drivel
  5. I think that's a shadow..same on the front. this is lame though.... Due to the rare nature of this item, I cannot accept returns. Dude, it's not a baby unicorn, it's a comic I wonder if he's ever had an item not as described case opened against him. No returns does not exist on eBay. Reminds me of that guy who got like 10 copies of the WD Lucille variant unsigned.
  6. I hope your hedging your bets. I am also picking up Bedlam and Clone 1 but not nearly as many. Both are the heat... 4 realz
  7. I do like it. I call them kids. Others may call them comic reading distractions (or worse). I don't watch a lot of movies either for the same reason.
  8. I would but then I would have to tell Yorick he's on the back burner ( he's actually already there - #needtofinishYTLM
  9. I know I need to check out RR. Heard so many good things.
  10. The MIND MGMT #1 reprint for $1 Still should be available for pre-order
  11. Same here. I mean whats with this variant of comics pro, wtf its like $150 and theres barely any copies of it. LIke WTF I had the full collection before these super rare variants that 90% wont even get. I'm done with this comic. Getting rid of my collection, keeping the signed one but getting rid of the others. Nobody is forcing anybody to get every variant--see the message from E.S. I get the completist mentality--I use to have it--but you and your wallet will be better off if you just pay for what you like and what you can afford. No reason to stop reading/collecting a book you enjoy just because there are a couple variants you might not get. For me, I usually just stick to slabbing first prints, but some 2nds and variants are cool (ie NWM #2 2nd, #1 2nd, Revival #2 3rd, Revival #5 2nd, etc.)
  12. I'm flipping ecstatic!! Just got my last set of grades and hit this...
  13. still well more then double cover price though. Come on, E. You stepped on on your TWD collection (over cover)... make it so!
  14. Yeah, I read that the HC won't have the extra 'tidbits' Not unlike TWD compendium leaving out the letters columns
