  1. Who's this guy?!?!? Welcome to the Sagaverse
  2. AND although we drop some $$$ on books, buying a reading a comic is a relatively inexpensive hobby for non-serious collectors (as compared to golf for example).
  3. DISCLAIMER: ITSJUSTRYAN DOES NOT ACCEPT FUNDS, COMICS, OR PRESSING SERVICES FOR HIS ENDORSEMENT OF JOEYPOST. THIS ENDORSEMENT IS SOLELY BASED ON HIS AWESOMENESS OF LEGEND.
  4. Once again (again)..... Remarkable. That kick so much *spoon* Andy!! That quick press probably close to doubled the value of your book on the market.
  5. I was there on Monday when they found them in a collection and priced them via eBay. Once again.... Amazing.
  6. Remarkable. It's amazing to see these things happening right in front of us.
  7. Sold my sketch cover and would feel incomplete on the registry (also not currently slabbing non-first prints - may make an exception soon on a couple). We'll see....
  8. Something that I know my LCS guy does that drive me nutty... he hoards new releases himself and says they are sold out. When Bravest Warriors came out I was in the shop and asked about it. He said, QUOTE... "It's sold out but I can let you have one for $30. That's what they are going for online." No thanks dude. I told him I just wanted to check it out and see what the hype was over (only wanted to buy one copy). He said, QUOTE... "Well, that's what the second print is for....... " I'm starting to wonder why I still go there?? Oh yeah, it's the only game in town.
  9. I think that is a good policy. Someone mentioned it this limit for the first week. Man, this thread has derailed (and I'm partially to blame... )
  10. I don't even hardly buy comics in the store anymore b/c its a hassle. My LCS has a few issues and I have never bought more than two of the same cover (bought two batman 13 and two Saga 8 rececently). Many of the books I find there have condition issues (spine stress, etc.), so I buy mostly from people I know online. Just ranting about the idea of limits in general...
  11. IMO.... limits are a bad business practice. I'm a paying customer, cash in hand, right in front of you ready to buy a product you are offering to the public. If you insist on a limit, put a sign up saying "LIMIT ONE" or adjust the price to keep someone from buying a stack at cover. If someone told me to put them back, it would be my last visit to that store. I can't stand lazy store owners that don't track the market and when you get to the register have an epiphany and say, "Oh yeah, I need to mark this up" or "Oh yeah, you can't buy but one of those." I would be like, "Oh yeah, I forgot why I would rather buy from someone I trust online..."
  12. Very, very nice. Love those sketchs. I have 1 sketch x SS (#3 9.6 - also have blue label 9.8), but am glad to have the first five issues slabbed (need a 9.8 for #4 - came back 9.6 - will upgrade soon).
  13. I will. Would love to frame it next to.... another certain comic.
  14. Tape pulls can eat a book alive... Tape Pull Example Just depends on how bad it is... glad you have some others though.
  15. I sold a 9.6 blue label #1 for 90 this week. should have spared that 9.4, eh? I picked up 1 more #1 first print and I know have 4 total. I'm keeping 'em for now, even if they come back 9.4's (I don't think they will though). I'm still debating on CGCing my 2nd - 5th print of #1... we'll see. May do a prescreen later this year and add those in.
  16. I ordered one last time they were up and am very satisfied - #91/200 - need to frame it now.
