Got in nine books yesterday. Four of them looked really good (maybe a few 9.8's), one of them was slightly damage with a hard spine crease, and the last four looked like this...

I emailed the guy and I'm sure he'll do a refund/exchange. Should have packed with cardboard and tape, trapping them in from banging around

Maybe they should focus on making the regular covers and the comic content more enjoyable than taking time to make different covers for issues that have already come out.

 

+1 - too many variants.

Agreed. It's like they said, "hey let's do it b/c we know they will buy it." And they are 100% RIGHT!

I'm upset I only have 2 of those. And i'm not sure if they will be 9.8's. One has a chance. Other i'd think is a 9.6. Stupid Midtown.

Well... I'm rolling the dice for a 9.8 with my one book variant (I won't cry over a 9.6).

I can't believe Third Eye sold out. I would try to message them on e-bay and see if they have any left. I saw they upped their price from $15 to 18 a couple days ago but I'd be willing to bet they have some left, just don't have them up right now.

Six more today. Up to 37 total. Debating whether to sub a 9.8 prescreen or just sell them in lots. Nice problem to have.

Read #1 last night, and it is creepy and good! The potential is there for a great read, we will see what the market will bear over time though.

i left 3 at a LCS last wed....still had the 3 today...not anymore.

I broke down again (got 6 more). Okay... I'm done for sure this time.

i called up one LCS, he said he had one copy left. walked down to the store, and it was priced $9.99, so i left.

 

called another LCS, and he said he had copies. got there, and he had 5 copies. grabbed 2, and he said "that's all you want?" (p.s. i know the owner well), so i told him most stores only only 2 copies each, he said "first come first served," so i grabbed 4, all for $2.80 each.

 

Kind of an interesting take on LCSs, considering a lot of recent posts.

 

One owner seemed to be 'on' to the trend of the book & priced it a bit aggressively at $10 (instead of being out-of-touch with the book), while the other owner actually didn't seem to mind a customer buying multiples. That owner moved product. (as opposed to cutting of his nose to spite his face by keeping inventory & alienating customers).

I ordered 25 of these from Gator because of the walking dead cover? So is it gonna be 223 instead? I don't want this book that is for sure!

Man... I passed on this one but would have been PO'd if this was the case.

Got mine from galaxyofheroes too with Revival #2 as well.

just preordered my 2nd print batch. Averaged $3.20 each incld shipping. I can live with that.

I got them a little better from eBay ($2.49 x 5), but that's because I had another order and shipping was free on these. He's sold out now.
