Nice Andy. You'll be fine with those, no worries. Bedlam is one of THE BEST new books of 2012. Things can happen overnight. Look at the insanity that is happening to SAGA, Manhattan Projects,and Peter Panzerfaust. Bedlam (IMHO), is better than at least one (PP), maybe two (MP), of those titles.

 

I just worry about so many different covers. I think I would rather have 8 reprints then 7 normal covers.

What does the O/A stand for?

There have been a lot of discussion about lackluster art on some of the more popular books.

 

Peter Panzelfaust, Chew, Manhattan Projects, etc....and while I agree some of the art isn't up to more mainstream artists, I think writing is far more important than art.

 

Look at South Park, The Simpsons, Far Side, Calvin & Hobbes, etc.....None of these have the visual appeal of a Neal Adams book or a Brian Bolland or a Frazetta painting, yet they are captivating for the sheer brilliance of the writing.

 

 

I have to say that Bill Watterson would nail it time and time again when he was drawing a jet, or dinosaurs. Or dinosaurs in jets =) . Sorry to digress.

 

I would give away every comic I owned for a piece of original Bill Watterson art that was Calvin and Hobbes related.

Anyone have a first print #2 to sell?

I have runs 1-3 for sale in modern.

Sadly, I can't move my 3-8 set on the forum.

I put up 1-8 + 2b and it hasnt moved. Krighton couldnt move it on the boards earlier this week.

Anyone have any experience with pressing some not so nice saga 1s?

Hey, shouldn't we be talking about Bedlam #1 also? With a print run of 29,900 and still available at cover, I would think we could start a buying frenzy just like Blackacre #1!!

Problem is everyone already had their buying frenzy and are all burnt by the money they overpaid on the NYCC variants

Anyone else bothered that all the covers are picking up steam except for the CBLDF? I figured it would be skyrocketing by now.

I do like the comparison of speculating on modern comics to pink sheets. That is definitely what it feels like!

I think im gonna avoid blackacre like the plague....something doesnt feel right about it.

so why does marvel insist on using such poor quality paperstock and charging so much per issue? not to mention all the adverts in the middle of the story. Nobody expects to see adverts in the middle of a DVD or at the Movies.

 

Have you gone to a movie or watched a DVD lately? The commercials may not show up in the middle of a movie, but they sure do show up before the movies either in the theater or on the DVD. I was disgusted to recently see ads on DVDs that I purchased and will be forced to jump through every time I fire that movie up. You see them wherever you go (and that doesn't even count product placements that are so obvious these days).

Watch a season of Chuck. Subway is one of the main reasons this show didnt get canceled earlier then it did.
