  1. What the heck! It's been almost 24 hours since the last post here. I feel I must post now.

Hey, why does the price of the thought bubble variant languish behind the color variants? It's just as rare and there are a lot of them trapped over seas. Doesn't get the respect it deserves here in the good ole US of A.

I am betting it will pick up when the CGC copies start showing up.

  2. I don't say this to be contentious but where does it stop?

There were a lot of people who bought the TB variant thinking that was going to be the low print run variant for #1. But now we have a #1 Variant printed with lower numbers AFTER the fact. Nowhere Men is between issue number #3 and #4 and variants for number 1 are still popping up and they are not being called second printings?

I don't think this would be as big of a problem if it had been released when #1 originally came out, but to keep releasing #1 variants long after it was first released seems silly.

The way I see it, it's only a problem for the people who want to make it a problem. Nobody's forcing you to buy these variants. If you're not interested in them, they should be just as irrelevant to you as the 52 state flag variants for JLA #1 are to me.

  3. In my mind the Thought Bubble is the RRP.

Exactly. I think if you are buying with the pokemon mind set then go ahead and buy one of each. If you are buying to flip/invest I would be grabbing every thought bubble I could under 150 right now.

  4. One thought and a question.

First, I keep thinking that the 2nd printing of this is only around 2k. Very small print run and should be going up in price.

Second, any guesses what the thought bubble will be at in two weeks? Everyone states this is the one they truly desire.

The problem with the TB is almost everyone knows there are major spine issues with this book. I think people would pay 300-400 raw if they knew it was a 9.8

With those numbers that would put a graded 9.8 TB at around same value as a Saga RRP!

They already celebrated 10 years if memory serves...

10th anniversary of The Walking Dead is October 2013.

Last year was Image Comics' 20th anniversary, and we celebrated the 100th issue of TWD in July.

Sorry to detract from NWM but does October mean there's another 18 covers coming for WD?

    one can hope!

Please tell me that is sarcasm! Im already finding WD 100s in 25cent bins...

  7. any TB 9.8s on eBay yet?

    None that I've seen.

There will be some on ebay 3 - 5 weeks after ECCC.

I've seen at least one person who has prepared two for CGC grading, and they look pretty nice.

I will not be selling them so do not pm me about it lol I'm just sure they will be put on ebay.

Mine are all being graded at Megacon.

  8. Hey everybody, how much would you pay for Saga 1-6 all NM raws?

My buddy is thinking of selling them and wanted to know how much he should ask for.

Are you trying to give him a good deal while still making money on it yourself? Go look up the latest ebay sale for the set and give him a percentage of that you feel comfortable with.

  9. hm

I bet there is someone here that just might know the answer

Todd the Ugliest Kid on Earth #1 7,879

Really low number. Let the frenzy begin :whee:

    Thats better then I expected

    ^^

Can someone explain the math to me? When you look at numbers what do you look for and what's a "good number" or a "low number" (and are those the same thing?). Educate me! Thank you...

Compare to last year. Saga had around 37k. That was high. Revival had around 18k. Average for an image book. While Peter Panzerfaust only had 5k. Thats really low.
