  1. I was there earlier. I had my 1 copy in my pull and there was only one other copy on the shelf when I left (I didn't buy it). That was about 11:15 today. U wouldn't have wanted the one on the shelf anyways. Bottom left corner was pretty much ripped. The WD #102's that were on the shelf looked like they got run over by a semi truck. Luckily the one in my pull looked ok.

Yeah. Those WDs looked horrible. I didn't buy anything from them. Bought everything from the bookstore on northlake. Wanted to ask if they had a few things but I couldn't get a word in with the employees. Too busy chatting with his friends.

  2. Okay HughRosen and RoastedBagel. Which one of you bought the LCS out of Revival? Just stopped by and not one copy there!

Had to drive over to that little dinky bookstore. They had one poor loney 9.4 copy there.

  3. double post for chi-bang

lostpike, can you post links to some of those $50-$70 dollar sales. How are the other AvX variants doing? I would think people would want to be selling now before the hype of it is finished.

do you think there is any long term value there? Generally speaking, event variants dont hold up too strong post the event.

I have a copy of Uncanny Avengers 1:300 locked down on release (fingers crossed on condition), and I am planning to sell it ASAP.

Not to say I am lazy to redo my research. I am going to be lazy. Sorry.

As for long term. I am betting on a surge on them next month when all the other baby variants by Skottie Young come out and people want complete sets because honestly speaking the new covers ARE AWESOME.

I am dying to get one of the OAs for either the one of them all trying to get on the fridge or the one with the babies in wolverines shadow.

  4. Picked up a 1st print Revival 1 last weekend and noticed that the Revival title color is orange instead of red. I haven't read through this whole thread since there are over 200+ pages ad I don't usually go to this forum, but is one more valuable than the other? Thanks

Nope. Printer was running low on ink. You look deeper you will find a quote from Image regarding this.

  5. Non variant, non graded Modern Age comics that are "comics to watch" according to The Market this Wednesday:

    • Chew #1
    • Saga #1
    • Thief of Thieves #1
    • Batman Adventures #12
    • Amazing Spider-Man #606
    • Batman #1
    • New X-Men #128
    • Detective Comics #1
    • Multiple Warheads #1
    • Manhattan Projects #1

And tons of variants that were filtered out of this list on purpose can be found on the website with just the checking of a check box! :whee:

Woah, what's up with the ASM606?

I thought they were going to be reprinting all Campbells covers from this time period?

  6. So I am looking for suggestions on what to have Carl sign?

#49, 50(1st & 2nd Prints), 52, and 71 all have Carl covers and #104 will also have a Carl cover when it gets released.

    #3, 11, 34, 56, 57, 77, 82, 84, 94 and 100(Philips Cover) all have Carl on the cover.

I'd also get #2 & 83 signed they don't have Carl Covers but #2 is his 1st Appearance and #83 is the Issue that Carl gets shoot in the face.

    #2, 3, & 11 are getting kind of expensive but #34, 49, both 50's, 52, 56,.57, 71, 77, 82, 83, 84, 94, and 104(When it gets released) are all still reasonably priced.

If I was getting these signed I'd definitely go with #3, 49, 50(1st + 2nd Prints), 52, 71, 83, and 104 because they all have great looking covers.

Thanks! He is going to be at Tampa con next month!
