  1. Is the Avengers vs X-Men set considered one book or 3?

    -A vs. X #1 x-men, avengers and sketch cover

I forgot you have not picked anything yet. Still waiting for the perfect wave.

I am waiting for Kav to post his Action #1
    Get in line you. :makepoint:
  2. Here is an idea that came to me last night:

I know how it is to be young and not having the funds to pick up the books you would love to add to your collection. If you are under 25 and don't feel like you have the books necessary to contribute to the thread - please PM me and I'll match your books so you can get some stuff. Please PM me before grabbing some books so we can work out the details! I may be only able to help out one or two people but I'd love to help get some cool books into some younger board members hands.

age discrimination! Not cool bro! j/k

    Very nice of you!!!

I may need to raise the age to 30 since I don't think may 20 year olds are on the boards but we will see how it goes.

    :acclaim:
  3. What's the deal with those Dune books for the ignorami in the audience?

Both first printings , one Book club first printing....

and one is apparently signed :)

    Very cool - great score!

Just curious, how do you tell the 1st printings apart from worthless copies, lol?

Its board is a bluish green, has a print date of 1965, and has the city of Toronto as the Canadian publisher. At least this is what I think are identification markers.
  4. there was one hitman called the "Iceman' who would go in a bar and spill his drink on victim. There's a chemical which pulls any solute into the bloodstream....solutes like Cyanide.....

They made a decent movie about it.

    Disturbing because it was true!

I liked the movie, Michael Shannon was great, but take the story with a grain of salt. The guy was a psychopath and a murderer, but if you read up on him, it's pretty clear he highly embellished his story.

It was creepy watching that movie since I live around there, I remember being told by my high school shop teacher that one of his cousins was a friend of one his daughters, and would actually hangout with her in his house, thinking back that most be terrifying.
