  1. Why isn't it April 17th yet? I need #4 to read and then begin planning world domination, one brown bag at a time.
  2. Eric.. you should see the reader set that I've been passing around. Those white covers pick up all sorts of stuff. Everyone has loved it so far and I've been seeing it at the local shops in larger qty lately!
  3. Blow Up The Moon blew up the thread. Gotta boost that post count.. CGC is going to start basing their turnaround times off how many posts you have. Good thing he has 5k+ posts and 4.9k+ of those posts are in his own test thread.
  4. I think that is one of the fundamental flaws of ks. A lot of people don't buy into the project, they just want the limited rewards ( I am guilty of that on an occasion or two.) If there are not enough limited rewards, the project will only succeed if it is well received and/or universally appealing. The concept of this particular project doesn't interest me. As a fan of Revival, I would have loved a sketch and would have considered the core offering (the comic itself) a bonus.
  5. A lot of the awesome rewards have been long sold out
  6. only worth flipping if the raw is a dead lock for 9.8 or you already have a 9.8. Registry set folks are filling in the gaps to get a complete run going.
  7. Everyday. I can't wait to go home and take a picture of the 40 Revival sets I have that he told the retailer to stop selling to me. If you have 40 revival phantom sets.. you won the battle.. but he will win the war.
  8. I put one up last week.. 19.99 +shipping BIN and it sold a day later Crazy. Might have to hit the LCS a little sooner than Wednesday this week. When did this book come out? It was part of the New 52 launch I do believe. I'm kicking myself for some of the books I passed on. Yep.. came out October 2011 I believe. Funny thing is.. I walked in to a shop that had a bin filled with New 52 books. As soon as I walked over to the box, the owner said: "Anything in the box is a dollar. The New 52 was the worst thing DC has ever done. I just want to get rid of them." Ended up grabbing Nightwing, Red Hood and Suicide Squad #1s. I even got one of them free because he hated the New 52 so much that he said they were 'buy two get one free" This was less than a year ago, when Nightwing was already going for $20 on eBay. Nightwing 4 has cooled hasn't it? I remember selling my copy for $20+ last year. I sold a pair in NM to NM+ for more than $20 each in the last two weeks.
  9. I've heard as low as cover price (not likely,) next lowest is $6. The average paid is $12-20 per and the most I've heard is $25. A good mix of mail order and directly from the LCS. The LCS will be the cheaper option in most cases since they will most likely to use the Ghost Program to help reward their regular subscription base.
  10. A friend of mine just went to WonderCon and got me this: Pretty happy to have that one for my wall. (although I did give him a hard time for paying $15 for the raw 1st print and then he told me that he paid cover and that all his books were out of the bags and boards for signing and they didn't get put back in the originals.. haha I felt bad for a moment.)
  11. Great buyer. Quick communication and paid on time. Always welcome to buy my stuff!!
  12. Anyone pick up Five Ghosts? What did you think? Another great book. I'll be broke before I make it to SDCC this year. Don't go too broke -- save enough to buy that Todd "Ugliest Edition" Hardcover with the paper bag dust jacket!! Don't worry. I'll be first in line for that.

  14. That was exciting. I went to two LCSs today coming back from running an errand and they were both sold out already. One of those two are a huge buyer of indy books. They order heavy for other hot Image books. Kinda strange they missed the one that was on the cover of Previews.
  15. Over. edit... although a few sellers may just list them at a reasonable BIN just to move them and not list them as high grade.
  16. more specifically... Retailer summit starts on Wednesday April 24 (Wednesday) and runs through April 26 (Friday.) They will be in hand to those retailers in attendance between those days. I am sure there will be some cell phone pic, in hand auctions during the event and a few brave retailers doing pre-sale auctions. Like all things in life, there are the possibility for delays so they usually reserve the right to mail these to the retailers if they do not somehow arrive in time to be passed out at the show.
  17. The dust jacket could be a brown paper bag.. just sayin
  18. I got a chance to read it. Glad I have 5 coming in the mail. Plan on letting friends/co-workers read the lowest condition copy. It's on the pull list going forward.
  19. They should go by the restrictions that existed when the order was placed. My 5 copies show as 'shipped.'
  20. so who has contacted their LCS about this 109 blank? What has the response been? 2 of the shops I frequent ordered a few above their subscription base. 1 of the shops ordered a ton. 3 of the shops didn't know what I was talking about.
  21. I think if the logistics were started sooner, you could get a really cool 1-4 volume put together. The original arc is 4 issues correct? NYCC is a little too far away. Those who would want to read the series will have had a tpb vol 1 for at least a month or more. Not sure a NYCC volume would help boost sales.. it would just be a collectible. The idea would be to get something special in someone's hands, asap, and get them to their LCS to add it to their sub (or sub for the first time.) SDCC still has a diverse crowd and if promoted properly, this sort of book would thrive in those conditions. Todd The Ugliest Kidd on Earth Vol 1: The SDCC Ugliest Hardcover Edition
  22. I wouldn't do a variant for a single issue. I'd recommend a variant HC for issues 1-5(or 6) for SDCC. Not sure if that falls in line w/ the timing of the trade vol 1. Your book is so different and unique. Keep it that way!!
  23. This. I avoid personal like the plague. I'd rather pay the 3% for the seller, just to have the peace of mind. Personal PP + ('ship the next day' x more than once) = I'd be upset as well. Not upset enough to go public but almost.
  24. I don't think anyone is doubting someone's ability to be busy and to prioritize their deadlines. I think it is just a matter of being straight forward with someone who gives you their hard earned money. I'm sure Nate will get this all sorted out. I don't doubt him for a second.
  25. Anyone getting the preorder hardcover ?? I am
