  1. +1 I was just thinking this morning that this gap is not good for the series. But, #6 second print did come out last month to fill the void for non-diehard fans. But diehards are ready to find out what's up wit Hazel's granny. Yeah. it was like 'surprise... now wait' If any boardie is going to be at NYCC and is already going to be waiting in the BKV/Staples line, hit me up. I'd love to have a dual signed trade for me which would def help with this wait.
  2. so... who else is having a hard time w/ this wait?
  3. Boba Fett by Clay Mann. Ink/Copics on 11x14 Bristol got it today from his signing at Epic Comics in Orlando FL.
  4. does anyone know the owner of the #100 1:200 variant that got a 10.0? I just want to see a scan (in all honesty, a blurry phone cam pic will work.)
  5. Fact: I have that Mask Rhino buried in the backyard of my parent's old house from when I was a little kid. Thanks for that flashback!
  6. Did anyone get the Walking Dead Season 3 poster that featured art by Greg Capullo? I read a bunch of articles pre-sdcc about this being a limited edition poster to be released at the show. AMC's twitter is giving them away. I have yet to see one go for sale on eBay or any other place. Any info on this?
  7. The prices on them change every day and will continue jumping around (up and down) for a while. There are a few BINs at half the $30 price you mention. I'm glad I have a couple myself that I will probably get slabbed (if the wait times are ever brought back to normal.) As for future value, there are too many things to predict. There is not a comparable title in my opinion. Fables had a much smaller print run for it's #1, as with YTLM, WD, Invincible, 100 Bullets, etc. Everyone is hoping this becomes a WD and for that reason, there are tons of people sitting on slabbed copies or high grade raws. When WD came out, there was not a super popular, high dollar independent title that would have led to speculation. I want this to be a title, like WD, that I tell friends they have to read and let them borrow my tpbs and wait for them to bring them back so we can talk about it! This series and Batman are the only two books I look forward to picking up monthly right now. I hope Saga keeps it up! I was really happy to see that your Chew #1 ended up being better than advertised. That is always a nice surprise. Question for discussion: do you think that since the OA for this is not available, that the series as a whole will be missing an important group of collectors to help with the overall appreciation of the complete product? I feel like all the aspects of a series should work together to maintain interest and foster a positive environment between creators, fans, collectors, etc. I just wonder if lacking OA will hurt this series in any way. There has to be a few people on these boards who are turned off by this series due to their inability to own OA from it.
  8. I'm annoyed at the process of purchasing. I didn't realize it would be a race to enter credit card #'s and addresses. I figured when i put one in my cart and hit checkout, that it would be there for me. Because it took me 2 minutes to enter my info, it 'sold out'. I know what you mean. In a similar way, Mondotees.com has releases for poster prints all the time. They usually give you a heads up that a specific print will be sold on a specific day at a Random Time. This makes it even harder to get. The in cart / held doesn't work for them either. I once had to log into paypal to verify something and I missed out on a poster. I got to the point of copying my cc number to my clipboard and speed checking out and I finally got one I wanted. Limited edition online drops are far from perfect and will never make it into the fan/collector's hands at a 100% success rate. Just be thankful you didn't get a confirmation from them via email and then a refund the next day w/ a note saying 'we somehow received more orders than the quantity available - we had to refund you the money. sorry.' I've gotten this type of note/refund 2 times this year! (neither of which was mondotees.com btw)
  9. got these Trimpe Hulks today in the mail. From Joeypost. Can't wait to add Roy Thomas to these at the end of the month!
  10. Got my package the other day. Not only was it packed awesome, it has some extras in it. Like others have said, it was like Xmas morning. Can't wait to buy from him again!
  11. paid quick! would sell to again. Hope you like the Omnibus.
  12. Easy to buy from and shipped quick and safe. Couldn't ask for a better forum buying experience. Thanks for the Batman and FF books!
  13. I would also guess that selling a few things per week at a few bucks profit is a good way to get and keep a high rating. If I am already at a store buying my weekly pull and I can scoop up a few books to move for small profits (or large ones,) those $4+ profit transaction end up ensuring that I can keep reading at a low cost/free. I only sub 6 ongoing titles so it only takes a few extra books to keep my money focused on more expensive keys/slabs/raw back issues.
  14. I hit the flea market today and a guy had a van full of long boxes (approx 15 full, about 95% bagged and boarded.) I was waiting for a friend's car to get tinted so I figured that if the guy would let me, I wanted to pick through it. He had a booth setup but didn't want to drag all the long boxes out. I spent an hour and I found a lot of quality reader books. It was mostly 90s drek (par for the course.) Not a ton of silver/bronze stuff. He had an internet connected laptop and was eBay checking a lot of it. So I decided to hand him runs of random shiz to price and after a while of no sale results or .99 auctions, he lost interest in spot checking. So I handed him a run of Xmen (that had a few keys) and a run of Batman (608 - 619.) He sold them at $0.50 per book for most of it. Here is some of it. I got about $40 worth of good reading material that was surprisingly in VF+/NM condition. This is only about 1/3 of what I got! Nice Loeb/Lee run of Batman that survived no bag/board and are still in VF+/NM- condition. The high price tags on these ASMs didn't even flag much for him to check them out.
  15. Aggiez is the first person I've bought a slab off. It was packed perfect and arrived on time! He communicated throughout the process.
  16. If I've bought something from you or you have purchased something from me, please let me know how I did! I am always looking to be better. Thanks
  17. I bought by first SS book from monstermonkey79. it was action comics #1 variant w/ Jim lee sig 9.8 !! He packaged it amazingly and was very quick to respond to questions I had. Glad to have done business with him.
  18. I am not an expert but I've been reviewing my final fees over the past few months and it appears that the final value is item price + shipping. I normally would charge 4.9 for the flat rate envelope and now I had to move it to 5.50 for the same thing since eBay is taking nearly $0.50 from me. Sucks because I am not trying to profit from my shipping at all. That is why I am not dealing with eBay as much now (50 free listings per month max.) You can play around with this to see what I mean - ebay fee calculator
  19. First post on here. I tried to read about 30 pages back (sorry if I missed this before.) Adventure Time by Kaboom- all covers of this run in 1st print seem to be doing decent on eBay. link I have 1st prints of 1 through 4 in both covers A and B and am probably going to unload them. I also was able to snag a big stack of ToT 1s that were not in NM/M condition and flip em for 25-40 per book (I took detailed pictures of all the imperfections and disclosed everything I knew about them that would detract from their value.) They were almost instant BIN upon listing. Glad my Waid Daredevils are also heating up. My favorite marvel title from last year.
