Couldn't agree more, just one example that pops to mind. Think about the Joss Whedon (yes Avengers Joss Whedon) shows that got cancelled, despite being at the top of critics lists and having die hard cult followings. Even once you jump through all the hurdles of getting a pilot to TV, you've got a battle against reality juggernauts and all the other out there to try and secure any kind of cultural impact/renewal and more seasons.

i love this book, one i'm collecting all the issues of and variants simply because i love the story, don't care about the speculation/market at all. (Which looking at GPA is a good thing, since its got almost no heat...)

I think its as simple as this: Warner Brothers owns DC, they let the CW handle all their comic properties generally speaking. The CW has a history (Buffy, Angel, Veronica Mars, etc.) with genre TV, and is a channel built more around building up fandoms and devotees rather than win the all out ratings war for the time slot cough Agents of Shield. Marvel's Cinematic Universe falls under Disney's ownership and bags of gold doubloons, and we all know they've got the formula figured out.

Can we take a moment to appreciate just how awesome Caity Lotz is doing as Black Canary. For those of you who don't know she does all her own stunts, and before this gig had a lot of work as a stunt woman. Nice to see her finally get what I think is a perfect part, with speaking roles and not just punches.

as far as i know this is just coming from that interview where he says he's writing the -script for the show, and has interest from studios? that's a far far way from green lit & has still has yet to be officially optioned, which are the magical words in the price jump hike. unless i'm missing some news piece?

I'm also very curious to see how Marvel Preview 4 (1st Starlord) does. Its Magazine size, so I wonder if something that silly will turn off some people? Its a rather interesting first appearance for a character that it looks like will be making a big jump into the mainstream consciousness.

Where are CA 359/360 selling well? There was a 9.8 that set a new high, but raws are still low. Has Crossbones been shown in a trailer yet -- or named? Not in Crossbones makeup but as a soldier I believe yes. He's being played by Frank Grillo, who's perfect for the part imo.
