  1. My LCS had literally 20+ of the Thompson variants yesterday, I come back today, they are all gone.
  2. Good to hear. I bought a reader the day it came out, just seeing Seely's name on it. Didn't know the speculation would start, but I'm glad that a lot of ya'll are fans of the book as well as variant hunters and #1 hoarders
  3. thanks bronze age, one step closer to the 1-10 ASM grail.
  4. I know we all have our copies, or are hunting down the Thompson or CBDLF variants. Now here's the real question, how many of ya'll have actually read the book?
  5. Also not sure if this is Silver Spideys only, but I picked up a few other gems this week after deciding to sell off a bunch of my collection in order to focus on webhead. Courtesy of r100comics 1990 McFarlane Gold UPC And the Ultimate Spiderman Variant in my sig (no good scan yet). Back on the path of webhead focused collecting. Might be time to get rid of my UXM 1 and 181.
  6. Well its hard to follow those books, but I just scored a ASM 2 from Brock I'm quite happy with.
  7. Great analogy, definitely know what you mean as a former card collector.
  8. That's the 1:10 Thompson variant.
  9. Let me say, it was really hard to find a non damaged copy out of the 20 or so variant versions and variants they had. All one unbagged, and many of them had a bad line running from the spine about an inch long.
  10. Picked up 2 Revival 1s and 2 of the 1:10 Variants. Also read a copy while in the store, quite a great book.
  11. What do you guys think of the new 52 sketch 1:200 variants? I've seen them go real hot and then cold then heat up again. Obviously big issues and 1s are another story
  12. Batman 1, and the Batman 1 Sketch Variant are definitely heating up. Not surprised, due to the fact that its Bats, and the storyline is the best of the New 52 by far.
  13. Yeah seems a like someone overpaid a bit on that one. I do think certain people really do think that the Miles Morales saga will be an important part of Marvel History someday. I'm still not sold, simply because I don't know if Ultimate Comics has the legs to go another 10+ years. I still blame Ultiamtes 3, and Loeb is one of my favorites.....
  14. I've never seen an Ultimate Fallout 4 variant CGC 9.8 sold on ebay. I think that issue is a great investment book, but I don't know what one would command on ebay if listed. I am a big fan of the new series (it's the only Marvel comic I read) so I'm bias. Its a surprisingly hard book to find. I've been scouring comic book stores all over looking for a good copy. I think most books were left unboarded, and considered just an unsold "ultimates mini-series," and therefore not kept in 9.8 worthy condition.
  15. Which version, variant is this? My LCS has a few left of these.
  16. Anyone see any of the First Miles Morales (new African American/Hispanic Ultimate Spider-Man) heating up?
  17. Both arrived within an hour of each other, today was a good day.
  18. Thanks sufunk, an Avengers compliments coming from you means a lot. I've noticed the same thing, one of the reasons I snatched up this copy. Seen tons of Cream or C/OW copies but not many OW around 5.0. I don't think I've ever seen a OWW below 7.0. I've found its real similar to the rarity of White Pages or OWW in AF 15. They came out a year apart and AF 15, was the last of a series so I'm not sure if its the same situation at all though.
  19. Sorry for the double post, but finally got some proper scans done.
  20. Same PQ and everything! One is an Earth 616 copy, and the other is from parts unknown. The other one is from the "Ultimates" universe Yeah one is actually The Ultimates 1 5.0 OW.
  21. Same PQ and everything! One is an Earth 616 copy, and the other is from parts unknown.
  22. Didn't see this thread. Not in hand yet, but fully paid off and on its way.
