Well, since this thread immediately devolved into a bunch of sheep baah-ing the same tired, old criticisms and showing no appreciation or interest in actually discussing art, I'll actually answer the topic itself. I understand that's what he said (I'm taking your word for it), but Art Adams isn't the first thing that comes to mind. It looks nothing like Adam's work. Greg Capullo's work on Spawn was basically a copy of McFarlane's style. There are a lot of artists who basically copy other's style. Liefeld's work is unique (or distinct or whatever you want to call it)...good or bad is preference. ***I'm not taking into account how he destroyed the comic book industry or how he shafted local comic shop owners (a subject I need to read up on)...strictly talking about his art work. I spoke with Greg about this a few years back and his response was "doesn't really matter who you are and what your style is, if Todd inks you, it ends up looking like Todd's style." (paraphrased by me - not Greg's actual words) Capullo's best work on Spawn was inked by Miki for me, he enhanced the drawings whereas McFarlane takes over

Liefeld is as big a as there is in the business...

that's if there is a future for this film and more characters is not what this franchise needs at all

when he worked for Spawn he had Capullo doing his layouts and McFarlane inking...i struggle to see the point in hiring him

i've never read anything he's drawn to be fair, the art put me off and the storylines didn't seem essential enough that i should force myself to bare it i have very little respect for Rob Liefeld

Let me look into this further. When this first was published, total was $170 MM for brand placement revenue. Superman is already a $170m brand superhero as Man of Steel tops the product placement charts There may have been an additional $20 MM captured from other advertising that wasn't captured at that point in time. An article published seven days earlier said it was $160 MM i knew it was around there (thumbs u also Dark Knight Rises probabily lost alot of box office money after the events on opening day i see the point of the thread but 10 years down the line nobody cares about box office and judge the films as they should be

As far as 'holes' in the numbers, I would say with VHS/DVD/Blu-Ray sales this would be another analysis point that captures post-cinema revenue results. So my current analysis focused on what could be a common comparison - cinema results. With taking the approach of subtracting special profit-sharing arrangements, it would be interesting but also tricky.
