You can't be serious. Ward is loyal to Garret due to something that happened in his youth. That's it.Great episode last night, I was really impressed. Best one to date. Do we know if they are signed up for a season 2 yet?My wife keeps thinking there is a twist with Ward and that we will find out he is still working with SHEILD. I told her NOPE, Ward is definitely HYDRA....there is no coming back for him!
I especially liked the scene in the diner between Ward and Skye, I loved how she in turn played him! Good Stuff!
your wife is right. Ward is on a deep infiltration mission of Hydra for Fury, and he will do anything to complete his mission, including murdering innocent people.
Garret is not even close to the head of hydra, just a Captain/Lieutenant.
Fury has Ward in there as a triple agent, to get to the real leaders. Eventually he will come back to being a Shield agent, will likely be a long time though.

LCS near me said they took a chance and ordered big, 30+. They said they were returnable so why not?

I begged for one at ECCC but they said they were all gone.I think Roc might still have some copies that he is holding on to for future sketch opps...? That being said, we didn't sell that many at NYCC, and if it's true that a full box got tossed after the con, then there would be at most 300 or so left in total...? EASILY the rarest first print of #1.Not. Even. Close.

I seem to remember Koenig's eyes were open when they showed his body, which pretty much means really, really dead.
-
They showed Koenig's body. There is no doubt about Ward. He is Hydra. We never actually see the "dead" bodies that Ward has "killed". Why is that?Everyone he has supposedly killed, we just see an angle of the body that doesn't show any real confirmation. We see blood trickling away from the bodies, but not the bodies themselves. I'm not saying he didn't really kill them, but it does leave the door open for Marvel to come up with a plot that this is all a ruse.

The actor playing Ward is having a blast as the bad guy. His twitter feed background picture changed from SHIELD to Hydra.

I saw Roc working on that sketch at Emerald City. I said I'd buy it, but he said, sorry, already spoken for. damn.

This is the exact panel that made him my favourite character...in any medium.UXM #133 was EPIC.What a great issue.
The final panel in #132 was great as well.

Wouldn't Paxton's character know if Ward was Hydra? Or are people suggesting Ward is pretending to switch sides? What about the two guards he shot in the head and the innocent guy in the wheelchair he murdered?

It was great seeing them at ECCC. I bought the trade and had them both sign it.

What a fantastic book. It just seems to get better and better.

Big Bang Theory uses a laugh track on top of the live audience - a techique called "sweetening".
Horrible, horrible show.

But Vancouver is bigger than Portland. There is always room for a one day Sunday Portland Comic BOOK Show. The other 2 day shows are geared more towards pop culture, anime, Star Wars, retired wrestlers which is the only way to get attendance high enough to cover costs of running a successful multi-day comicon. The Portland, OR to Seattle, WA corridor has lots of collectors, and a strong economy compared to other US states.Compare to smaller city of Vancouver, BC that will in 2013 have 2 separate two day comicons, at least 2 separate multi-(3) day anime fests, 7 one day local comicons, 7 pop culture shows, 12 antique/collectible shows, plus weekend flea markets every single year! I am not even counting the sports or non-sports card shows because I don't collect them.
