  1. She was the one preparing the food at the beginning of the first episode. She was damn crazy in the comics, so I wouldn't put it past her. Some of these are really far fetched. Zombies is far fetched!
  2. You mean Beth right? Been racking my brain trying to figure out who the hell Becky is Jim Ooops - I mean well done on catching it..
  3. Or you could scan the books and make a copy of the covers on your printer and safely store your books in a comic box. But what do I know? Amen! I can't understand using the actual comic,it's just damaging the book. Geez guys, I was just asking for some advice on an idea I had, what's with the sarcastic comebacks. Some of you guys can have right ***** attitude to others sometimes. How about a sensible reply like 'That may damage the spines of the book because of the pressure of a clip frame, you could always use a scan to preserve the book itself' rather than all this 'But what do I know' and 'Amen to that' . Don't worry mate - Dave is always a Richard and X, well he is just X. They are good guys who just have to mock every noob. They can't help it. And they are both very, very, very old.
  4. Eric, thanks. Quite gutted tbh, I was looking forward to this book for months (I started this thread), got it, loved it, and now it seems that Image are just content to let it die. What a shame.
  5. Any updates on Bedlam? I think, sadly, that this book has been left to wither and die on the vine. I know readership was dropping, but c'mon, this was a bloody good read. Its too good to just fade away. This was back on page 5. This and Revival have just, well, died.
  6. Oh and - WTF.. NSFW (if your boss is an ultra prude) http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/WALKING-DEAD-99-TAROT-78-CAT-WOMAN-1-RESIDENT-EVIL-DVD-HOT-TRICK-or-TREAT-LOT-/121195512072?pt=US_Comic_Books&hash=item1c37d0c108 Check out the rest of the listing photos...
  7. It was Ok... General question Why has #13 gone insane pricewise? $200+ sales (multiple) for a 9.8. It was $40 in 2011 ?
  8. I just sold a copy less than a month ago for $2250. Had a few bidders, too. I sold because i just don't think it's going to go higher. I still have a personal copy that I'll keep, but a 9.8 should still be able to fetch 2K if you do a legit auction timed right. Mine ended about a week before the season premiere for about the same. The seem to be going for 2k +/- a few hundred. I never thought this book would ever reach this amount, so I guess I would be surprised if it ever got higher. But on the same token, the book is as popular as ever and the show just announced a spin off . . . I don't know if I see the book dropping to 1500 on a consistent basis. However, the price is heavily dependent on the show. If the show slows down, or if this season sucks, then maybe we'll see a drop. But season two sucked pretty hard until the end, so who knows. A season or two more will be enough for syndication and when that happens... Nail on head - when this show hit the free-to-air channels as a 10pm Friday after pub special, well hold on to your hats. The majority of people don't have satellite TV yet outside of the USA. The new 2nd show is to come. There is plenty of upside yet to come.
  9. What are your thoughts on the future upside/downside of Brave and the Bold #54?
  10. What!? The most anti-NWM member on the board hah. But I did enjoy #1-#3. I didn't get sucked into buying the variants for #1. #3 3rd print is probably my favorite cover of the year. I wish they put a broken wheel chair on the back though instead of whatever they put. yeah well I got a 9.8 blue CBLDF crazy cheap delivered so its not like I broke the bank. It will be flipped - don't worry about that!
  11. Even I bought a #1 after this!
  12. Well so much for discussing my in depth remarks....... I'm telling ya all:
  13. Michael Cudlitz rocks - what a coup for the Walking Dead for an established actor of his ilk to walk into what is one of the most popular TWD character roles!
  14. Oh - and lastly - this is the enemy within.... I am 100% sure.
  15. Just watched again: Things that make me go Little things that would make the show so much better - its still great, but c'mon...
  16. Maybe stop remembering the comic? This show is just going to get farther and farther from it, with just the rare 'hat-tip' to it as it goes along. I would not be surprised are the last ever comic characters to join the cast. If you are waiting for Cannibals and then Alexandria to happen, I hope you are waiting a long time, as I for one want, and enjoy the way its veering away from its source.
  17. That's what I told my wife I thought it was Andy. And I have Cox Cable on the west coast. Maybe just them not showing the east coast feed anymore. Well if two great minds think the same.....
  18. Nice guy, great buyer. One of New Yorks finest. That should be reference enough. (thumbs u
  19. I'd be wary of ANY of these AOW books being a 'good flip'. TBH, I don't think we have seen even a fraction of what will be available to buy before this arc finishes. We are talking big numbers here print run wise. I would use #4 and #5 as a point of reference. Both these issues were the lowest numbers printed, both sub 5,000 iirc and both are struggling to break the $250 mark for a blue 9.8 Variant vs 2 issues with the lowest print run of the entire series and the ceiling is $250? I would proceed with extreme caution before spending too much on anything connected with AOW, unless it is for your own personal collection.
  20. I never understand the rush to throw cash away. Sure, if the book/movie is rubbish - take what you can get - RIPD is the best example of that - I'm happy to get $10 tbh. The film stank. However with other Books, It has to be better to wait surely, and let the readership grow? Peter Panzerfaust, Saga and Revival are good examples, $400, $100 and $45 respectively. I'm more than happy to turn a $18 commitment (book + slabbing+ postage) into $45+ any day of the week. I have listed some EoW, but at my price, and if they don't sell, I'm in no rush. People are very canny to snap up these CGC issues for $18 while the glut is on. Next year you would hope after 12 issues, this should be a steady $40 - $50 book all day long. $18 to slab? super duper dealer discount? at non fast track, im at 14.40 plus $5 invoice and around $20 return shipping fedex. im looking at $20 per to break even, not even counting the price of the book. $18 even with return shipping to aus? Yup $14.40 pr. book for slabbing, $2.10 for the actual book (cover price $3.50 with a 40% discount), $0.15 for the invoice fee (on a 30 book sub) ... so on a 30 book invoice it's only costing you around $1.50/book to get it shipped from Australia to CGC and then back again to Australia? You are making assumptions. How I do things is mine to know. But it isn't like your scenario. Not even close. And that's all I have to say on this matter.
  21. Just looked - Saga is a bit higher than $100 - oops. Still $145 means even better value for those still holding some (not me).!
