  1. I never understand the rush to throw cash away. Sure, if the book/movie is rubbish - take what you can get - RIPD is the best example of that - I'm happy to get $10 tbh. The film stank. However with other Books, It has to be better to wait surely, and let the readership grow? Peter Panzerfaust, Saga and Revival are good examples, $400, $100 and $45 respectively. I'm more than happy to turn a $18 commitment (book + slabbing+ postage) into $45+ any day of the week. I have listed some EoW, but at my price, and if they don't sell, I'm in no rush. People are very canny to snap up these CGC issues for $18 while the glut is on. Next year you would hope after 12 issues, this should be a steady $40 - $50 book all day long. Are you referring to #1's for PP, Saga and Revival? I was, yes. Are the prices wrong? I must admit to not looking at Saga for a bit.

Yup
  3. Someone is cleaning up big time. Crazy low price!

  5. Anyone else think Carl has been aged a couple of years? He's got Guns now (on his arms) - this adds credence to the theory that Rick goes down for good and Carl steps up. It's time. Carl looks like a muscly Thai woman. Just sayin' Ladyboy Carl - not sure that will impress the fans! I vote yes. Time for Rick to die, and for Andrea to make Carl a man (ladyboy style or not )
  6. No #1 1st Prints on eBay...yet. I took them all. And there weren't many I can tell you. I went to the USA,UK and Australian sites - didn't try Canada coz of their stupid postal charges. Going to sit for a bit and see what Fox do with the Movie. start pumping Goodness Paperheart - straight to the point...... No flowers or dinner first? I'm flattered but will have to pass. Try Ravenswood. (thumbs u Ravenswood - the school district where i volunteer? Purely co-incidental my friend. What do you teach at school?

  10. Terrific again Cheetah - the first 6 covers are some of the most stunning I have seen for GGA. The Sailor on #1 reminds me of Robert Mitchum! Again, thanks for sharing.
  11. Bravo Cheetah! Many Thanks again for sharing.
  12. Not at all mate - this is quite tame. I've mellowed a lot since last year I have no idea who this Raven bloke is, but he continually keeps having a pop at anyone buying more than one copy of anything. God help you if you sell it as well..... It's the modern forum - that's why you, me and everyone else is here. I have no idea why that is so hard to understand tbh. Good Luck on the EoW hardcover - tried Ryan or Eric ? - They are good people.
  13. Indeed -- and MAN does he know how to throw a gang bang. Front row seats please....... Ewwwwwwwwwww....
  14. Eric would be closest I would say. All I know is that I only have 20 CGC 9.8 blues, and I will be selling as soon as they get here. Eventually a big hoarder will unload. I want to be selling before that happens. Interesting also that 150 copies isn't considered 'terrible' yet 12 months ago 100 copies of Bedlam, was 'ruining the hobby'. How things change a year on post the Walking Dead explosion Maybe 2003 will be known as WD year #0 in a decade or two!
  15. Wonderful Thread Cheetah - thanks for sharing - its now, for me, much easier to appreciate the Church covers, and why they have such a premium. On a serious note, do people now realise that Sheena was responsible for the decrease of animals in Africa - not Global Warming! Someone, somewhere must have a count of her 'kills' - it would seem she single-handedly reduced Africa's number of big cats by 90%! Keep them coming please (thumbs u
  16. Thanks mate - very pleased to add it to my collection!
  17. Was this like, a really hard question... In the early days it looks like Fiction House flirted with a number of genres in Jumbo Comics prior to Sheena dominating the covers. I dont know precisely when Lightning ended, but he lingered on for a while. Evidently Sheena was the USP when all around lay competition in the super hero market - at least that is what I infer. Thanks for that mate - appreciated.
  18. Was this like, a really hard question...
  19. Super thread - made my morning reading. Oddball question. The lightning goes from the cover to a name on the cover, to disappearing all together. What happened to the character? Did he die out or get moved to another book, as the lightning cover you posted earlier looked great. Cheers
  20. Sounds like someone's a little butt hurt that the aftermarket is in the crapper and his penny stocks comic books aren't paying the mortgage. Nick, as long as the book stays awesome you keep going to cons so I can get books signed and pick up cheap art , I'll be picking it up kissing your butt whenever it comes out I can. Fixed that for you Bud (thumbs u Yea, cause Nick Spencer sells original art at cons That's the thing.. Beige has NEVER been to a con, He has no idea about the majority of things he posts about. Hi CrowCopse, missing the point, but hey-ho. Most people are pizzed that the book is late, and I can assure you I have supported Bedlam from the first to current issue, both with floppies and art. I'm the first to admit I haven't been to a Con, but thats as relevant as a fish on a bicycle. Books late. End of.
  21. You've been spouting this line for a long time and no one is buying it. I have you on ignore but having seen the quotes, where you down right insulted the guy I just have to comment. These boards/community were a much better place before speculators like you came over and the main reason I no longer post as much as I used to. That's not to say I have an issue with speculating, I don't! It's just when your pure reason for being in comics is speculating and the almighty dollar seeing your posts is just annoying. It gets even more annoying when you start criticizing a book purely because the value is not as high as you would like it to be, even when the book itself is amazing. It just seriously grinds my gears. Agreed. What sort of insufficiently_thoughtful_person buys 100 copies of a book for starters? Wow.. you made a small profit. Nobody cares. Some people only come here to read about the artists/creators and story believe it or not. Loud mouths like beige ruin it for everyone else. :blahblah:
  22. Who is complaining about the book? Read my post before you feel you have to whine on and on and on..... Its great - I just don't like delays. Funny how the people having a pop are all peeps that go to Cons on a regular basis - wonder why........ Put me back on ignore you divvy, there's a good boy.
