  1. I am happy to place a bet that this will NOT happen. What won't happen? Actually don't bother answering. It seems that you go from forum to forum just causing arguments. You win. It won't happen.
  2. Deadly serious. AoW will break records for sales and pave the way for the TV show as well.
  3. All Out War This story arc will propel The Walking Dead back into the stratosphere interest wise. All roads are leading to the biggest event in the comics lifetime. Oh and people the highest paid for a 9.8 was $4500 and a 9.9 hit $11,000. 9.8's are still hitting 2k with joyfully monotonous regularity. It is a pre-curser for the same event to follow in the TV show, probably at the end of season 4. The same event that will ensure TWD has another 8- 10 seasons in it. Kirkman is only on #112 of a #300 issue run. His words, not mine. Anyone wants to sell their Walking Dead 9.8 copies should wait until #125 imho
  4. Ok maybe not HOS, but he's not doing himself any favours. He certainly is awfully close to being a 'multiple offender' - and that IS HOS material. Hopefully someone can get him to sort himself out. Any friends of his point him this way?
  5. "Jessie paint your picture about how it's gonna be. By now I should know better, your dreams are never free." Yeh, that wasn't Ricks finest moment.....
  6. At least I put my 'Rick death' in spoilers you blokes! Rick is going to die. No doubt at all. Why on Earth do you think Carls face is the emblem for the survivors instead of Rick - Rick dies slowly over #113 - #114. His only hand is shot to hell. Nagan want's to re-assert control and Rick is the gig. Carl AND Andrea take over. Leading to #115 and AOW. That's how its gunna go down friends!
  7. I still got a hunch, and Rick now is The next 10 issues will set the tone and direction of the book for the next 5 years.
  8. Now this most certainly heading in the Hall of Shame direction. How many chances to take the mickey does this bloke want?
  9. I was thinking more of self-harm myself. If this happens - the end IS nigh.
  10. Honestly, I had the complete opposite reaction while reading it. To me, what made the old issues great was that anything could happen. Any character could die at any moment. And Kirkman was willing to do that if it made sense in the story. His writing was very brave. It had the feeling like he'll kill anyone and just create more characters. This was the feeling readers had back then and what made the comic great. Kirkman himself realized this and it was the major reason they have the TV show different from the comic. To recapture that feeling readers had of anyone could die, while watching the WD TV shows. As I read this issue. I thought the same thing as the comments I've quoted below. This is nothing like the old days like the prison arc. Because I knew Kirkman wasn't going to kill Negan. I never even thought he was in danger. As I was reading it and Rick made his decision I immediately thought why didn't he just shoot him? That would have made sense. And how are they going to end this issue without killing anyone? I know he's getting away because they are doing a big event. Now it seems like a major character is on the chopping block. But odds are it will happen in the new issue with 11 covers to get people to buy all the copies. That doesn't feel like The Walking Dead.... it feels like a Marvel comic... Or... That would I'm really sorry you feel that way.
  11. Or LAWL Ryan - don't forget that epic statement. BTW - Loved your latest SA purchases Ryan, you are getting a top collection going on. Nice one mate.
  12. Wild. I actually agree with Katchoo. Why is it so cold all of a sudden? Its a death chill R. Comes with agreeing with the mentally dead. Seriously - who are these new experts? East Of West - wow - big call. I've been saying it since #1. Never claimed it was a big call. Never claimed to be an expert. Keep on being nice (thumbs u Of course you did. All your comments are eagerly followed. Whats your next big tip?
  13. this makes me sad But We Have Tons Of Early Issues Ryan !

  15. This next arc, if #112 is anything to go by, could actually be up there with the prison arcs. TWD got back to its absolute best with #112. Awesome. Anyone thinking of giving up on TWD - just go on back to your LCS and buy this issue.
  16. Got a 9.4 on the way which I intend to keep, at least until the market indicates where the 'top' of this spike is heading. At that point, maybe sell for a deposit on a more 'significant' key book. Anyones thoughts?
  17. "So Robert, if you can have Carl holding issue #5 of Todd in this scene, then we are all square for the Walking Dead homage cover"
  18. This book debuted on Oct. 31st (so basically, November). By end of this month, we'll have shipped 8 issues. That's 8 issues in 9 months we've managed to get out, even with an art team transition and very full schedules elsewhere all around. We have not been smart in terms of our solicit dates, but in terms of actual shipped product, this book has been pretty much where most creator-owned books are. As for 'you'd think I'd have several issues written'-- I co-write a twice monthly shipping Avengers book, just did a double ship on Secret Avengers, just did 4 double-sized issues of Morning Glories, launched Superior Foes, and did this. I've been working on basically the equivalent of 7 books in terms of scripts due. Everyone does their best, and it's not an exact science-- if I'd gotten 1 more -script done per month the last two months, there's be no delay here. But I didn't, because, well, see above. I haven't taken a day off the entire summer. I haven't seen any summer movie you have, because I've been locked away working (I know, cry me a river). Nobody working on this is sitting around playing video games. The other comments are just... sorry, but absurd is the only word I can think of. I just wanted to put this out there quickly, because I've never seen a book get such weirdly disproportionate schedule complaints in comparison to how much has actually shipped. Ryan is cranking out pages at an awesome rate, and 9 will be with you in August. We'll have the V2 trade out before the end of the year. Should never have got involved with the Phantom mob. You *might* have more than 8,000 readers. I love your book, but the variants have pissed so many people off, you may as well have shot yourself in your left testicle. This is your best book. Embrace it.
