  1. On the back of the ludicrous decision to 're-imagine' the cult classic 'The Raid' - which films are sacred and should never be redone again? I'll start Shawshank Redemption Breakfast Club Aliens
  2. The words no viewer ever wants to see attached to an all-time classic movie. "New Reimagining" Leave classics alone FFS.
  3. Besides the TOD #10 losing $20K from last sale, The Shang-Chi fared just as badly. I winced when someone paid over $20,000 for 1st Brother Voodoo in 9.8 - Strange Tales #169 - Great Cover, but a D lister if ever there was one. And it's $7,000 under the last sale I get movie books, but the character has to have a solid foundation. Blade has been and gone - anyone who thinks a new film will somehow make a solid, collectable book like TOD #10 be $20,000 more valuable after 3 great movies has poor judgement - sure enough , right back to its 'normal' price - 50% loss since September. Plus there is a 9.9 out there. Shang-Chi - did anyone care? $18,000 down to $9600 - 50% loss again in 9.8 since December Crazy times,as amongst the huge increases - are some frightening losses. Buyer Beware!
  4. Not unless you fancied a trip 'down-under'
  5. Fair enough. It just came across a tad patronising. It pushed a button, as I know a few people on here that $200,000, would indeed, be life changing.
  6. If I may say so, your post sounds quite like a pompous arse.
  7. So that's how you cram the missing 45% of the book series into one final season. Ignore it completely. Such a shame - now go read the books people, and enjoy it properly. Cara Gee still rocked her role.
  8. Where does this book finally stop at? A 1.0 for $29,000 A 2.5 for $45,000+ A 5.5 for $135,000+ (tonights Heritage) Is there a ceiling on this book? If there is - we have to be pretty damn close to it surely? The amount of 'normal folk' (ie not the super-rich) who now have $100,000+ tied up in a 'funny book' have to be seriously considering selling. If I'm a normal working-class guy / gal and my comic is now worth $250,000 - then that's a life / retirement changing pile of bills. I think we might see a heap of AF #15's hit the market from long-term collectors who simply can't afford to turn their nose up at that kind of money.
  9. I saw that - then I just saw TOD #10 in 9.8 crash and burn........ a full $19,000 under last price ($48,000 down to $29,000) I'm guessing the 48K buyer is done with comics. This was (is) one crazy auction.
  10. This lady is soooo annoying. I'm priced out of collecting I reckon - these prices, especially for common books are insane.
  11. Bloody hell. This is why I always either politely decline with a reason or ask 'do you have anything else?' Catch more flies with honey than vinegar Congrats.
  12. I bought one. A book I struggled to find anywhere else for quite sometime. I'm very happy to now own it. I get some books were overgraded and of course we all know why - but I'm collecting a run, it fills a gap, and I'm happy with it.
  13. Did a four figure transaction with Aaron - top notch effort. Packing was flawless, and to say he went the extra yard would be an understatement. I rarely leave feedback - but Aaron is a seller of the highest integrity, and a great guy to boot, so this is well deserved. 5 stars all around from me
  14. Sellers of the clothes of choice for the skanks of the world.
  15. No and No. Look around you - even HALO are massively increasing their number of slabs.
  16. Steve Borock must be grinning from ear to ear. CBCS will be market leader in 18 months. What incentive is there to stay with CGC - quality control, 12 month waits, endless 'special sig signings' that very few people care about jumping the queue - and stupid stunts with empty cases. How to lose customers and trash your business 101
  17. Cara Gee is absolutely superb as Carmina Drummer. Single-handedly carries the show. Which is still very poor compared to the books. Holden is such a disappointment - the guy just can't act. Why with one last season would you waste precious minutes with re-incarnation on Laconia when Duarte's empire and shipyards haven't even been mentioned - despite already launching a destroyer through the ring (thats what it seemed to imply) Don't make a TV series if you can't tell the whole story that people loved in the books. Thank christ for Drummer....
