  1. What a heap of fun. Very pleasantly surprised with season 1 - on to season 2 now. Nice mix of flashbacks and music without getting overly reliant on the old movie to drive the story forward - people could still enjoy this without seeing Karate Kid (although they should watch it first) Got a bit 'teary' during the Mr Miyagi (Pat Morita) tribute - but in a nice way. Classy touch. This was one of those 'don't remake a classic' movies - but to my surprise and enjoyment, the series format suited it well. Season 1 9/10
  2. Wish Martin would just finish the bloody books. Then they could re-do the whole thing again as it was written - not as they made for TV. 10 years now - 10 years for the next book - and at least 1 more book to go.
  3. Not as good as season 1. They could have condensed a couple of episodes - Klaus as a guru could have been longer as the option for hilarity was certainly there. God bless 90's pop music lyrics (if you didn't get some of his 'teachings'!) - Too much focus on Dave, and Alisons story went on a tad too long, as did Vanya and her closet affair. I get racism and homophobia were huge back then (and sometimes not much better now) but I watch Umbrella Academy to be entertained. Do we need to be lectured in every show? Hopefully season 3 will get back to more humour, action and music, with less of the politics. At least we will find out about Ben.Finally. Anyone else think Lila will be back? Great character. I agree - 5 was awesome again. 6/10
  4. Ebay Australia were all over us like a rash 2 months ago. Now nothing about this at all. Could be international sales in currencies or postage delays causing issues that made the roll out stop. I dunno, but they haven't mentioned it at all since the initial email. Still paypal here. As for top-rated seller - who cares about a badge. The shipping/handling restrictions are insane. If you provide good service, you build up a decent base of regular buyers over the years. I think I have 180 followers - 3400 pos feedbacks, 1 neutral. Steady change and variation of stock seems to do the trick. Comics, TPB's, Glamour 'mens' mags, Heavy metals, Skater mags - all sell well - not expensive sales, but regular cheap quick turnover stuff. That's where an ebay store works - low value, quick turn-over stuff. I certainly would now be very hesitant to use it for individual items over $200 - 300 Then again - this is my hobby, certainly your mileage will vary if this is paying your mortgage or rent. Maybe they will re-think it, but it's ebay. I don't think I've seen a business shoot itself in the foot more often, or with greater accuracy.
  5. Did you 'see' them or BUY them? It's not clear from your posts. If you bought them - has to be the biggest haul on this thread for years More pics!
  6. That was actually pretty bad - didn't he get 20 yrs for trying to beat her to death whilst we were all mocking their 'sales room'?
  7. The fact that a couple of people have joined the boards to push their sales pitch speaks volumes. In what world could an overpriced miniscule share of a book that you have no control over its whereabouts, or time of disposal, or at what price - and could be bankrupted out by its own share owning manager end in anything but a financial loss for the share buyer, a bit of profit for the manager, and a nice new book for the buyer of the 'bankrupted book company' It's a blatant ponzi scam. Anyone who buys in, deserves all that is heading their way.
  8. It's started! - Binge watch here I come. Comfy chair - check Huge spliff - check Phone off - check Here we go!
  9. as per PM Deserves a few of theses...
  10. Took a while to get to cable here. Damn that was superb. Best DC film ever made. 10/10
  11. Surprisingly OK Gives you the odd unholy thought about Nuns as well. 6 / 10 Fun, with a bit of hot Nun action, kick- Ninja stuff and Demons.
  12. The 6 mens pulps will double your money. At least. The rest is profit baby, profit.
  13. Good stuff - all action. Pretty nasty way to spend 500 years under the sea...... sequel beckons. Action by the numbers, you don't have to think too hard, and an enjoyable way to spend 2 hours. 7.5 / 10
  14. Directed by GOTG James Dunn and credited 'with thanks to Marvel studios' at the end. Basically "Superboy" is very bad. Except no credit is given to DC - Weird and wonderful copywrite issues here! Watched on Foxtel Premiere. Great movie, scary and creepy - and gory! Highly recommended. Got to be a sequel coming. 8 / 10
  15. Likewise - but without Juice, then they are as usefully as Wee Hughies dead girlfriend - Jings! Seriously though - The Girl was almost killed - and she's the toughest in the comic by someway - so Butcher, Hughie, Frenchy and MM NEED the boost to even match the likes of the B teams. And - where the heck is Terror??
  16. Oh, I'm not whining per se. I really liked Season 1 I just hope that some of the originality that made the Boys such an awesome read shines through. Swap a Nazi for a Weather Woman - I'm cool with that, BUT - if you don't juice up the rest of the Boys, then series 2 is going to be pointless. Without Powers, even a C-Team will rip them apart. Lets not forget - having Juice is the only thing stopping Homelander from killing them all (in the Book) Still Herogasm is confirmed as Season 3, so as readers know, they must have powers by then. The Russian Love Sausage in Season 4 should be interesting.......... I like it so far, but lets not dilute it so much that it's another shambles like Preacher. Looking forward to Season 2.

  19. Hilariously I managed to sell one of these for $5 by mistake a few years back. Missed off a digit. Oh well, lucky buyer. Always check your listing before posting it up! Only have a couple: And a TTA #13 which I seem to not have taken a pic of. Note to self - update insurance pics.
  20. I gotta say you find some incredible stuff. How do you do this so often (it's ok I'm overseas so no competition for you at an auction ) - is it years of networking, lucky craigslist or secret honey-holes of small car-boot sales? You really do have an amazing success rate - keep the scores coming, love to see them!
