  1. For the love of god, please, please, please re-create the 'being bathed by handmaidens in a bath of milk' scene with Gal Gadot.. I'd go see it for that alone.. Gal Gadot
  2. And theres only one man to write that up..... @Buzzetta
  3. @Catwomancomics Congrats. The truth will always out. Sometimes you just have to be calm and patient. Well done for keeping the weights. That was always going to be key to winning the case with paypal. Hope this never happens to you or anyone again
  4. Quite a weight difference there Like, you know, one didn't have anything to protect in the package except an empty broken slab.
  5. Oh I know Buzz. We have both seen it before. Thing is there's no proof. Either way.
  6. I thoroughly agree that one of them, is guilty of a HOS worthy offence, but as has been pointed out many times, being unpopular or unpleasant isn't a criteria. All we can PROVE is that Catwoman comics sent Shoomanfoo a cracked slab, and asked for a PP refund based on damage. I would say the current pics support that. Paypal would have then requested a return to get a refund, and by previous deleted images we can see that is the case. It's up to Cat to prove that they DIDN'T get the book back - thats why I asked for weights of the parcels. But yes, Shoo needs to cut back on the snark as it's not helping his cause. I know which way I'm leaning, but I need more than a hunch to go 'Flaming Torch and Pitchfork' yet. As I know you do to.
  7. No my friend, it's confirmation that you got the book in a cracked slab. And that's very poor, and you have every right to be upset. It also confirms Catwomancomics got the label and broken slab back at a later date. It doesn't prove you didn't send it. It doesn't prove you did either. As feared - its one persons word against another, which the weight may help one side or another.
  8. Nice! @Catwomancomics - show us the weight on the package you sent, and the weight on the package you got back. That's do-able yeah?
  9. OK - so we have Shoomanfoo getting a cracked case - and catwomancomics getting the same cert no and same case back. So we can confirm shoo got the book, and cat got something back. It's a start
  10. Hey shoomanfoo, perhaps stop swinging away and answer the question, because no-body gives a flying proverbial wether you 'report' Catwomancomics or not. Literally no-one cares. We DO however really, really want you to answer a simple question. Are you a thief, or are they a liar? Because that's what it's come down to basically. If you sent the book back, then the OP is a liar If you cracked it and sent the slab back and kept the comic then you are a thief. That's all we care about.
  11. Sure, I'll cool it. My bad. I assumed everyone who had lit their torch had read the threads. Silly me.
  12. Anything he could complain about. Threads with addresses have been pulled, and points issued.
  13. Really? What scam was that? The one where the guy went to his Police station to try to boost an insurance claim? Before the book was even confirmed lost. When USPS still have it. Missing for 7 weeks in the slowest Post slow down in History? That scam? Don't see that guy back here after the questions started - did you? I'm all ears if you know any different, but I, and many others called BS from the get-go. And it had nothing to do with ebay.
  14. That's a big a F U as you can get. Once the facts are all out - because I'm sure there's going to be a different story put out, someones off to the HOS. Probably want to edit out the personal info before this thread gets janked.
  15. ..is hopefully the end. Of every single person that has driven this franchise to the bottom of the barrel and now through it. The comic rocked up to #48 and slowly declined until it was basically unreadable. And yet the reprints continue..... $$$$$$ Walking Dead - TOS was a brilliant show, until they forgot about the Zombies and became a soap opera with worse and worse stories, acting and continuity. It's now thankfully been pulled off life-support and officially declared dead. Which sadly was 3 years too late. At least. Fear TWD - that started abysmally , then rose off a very, very low bar, mainly thanks to John Dory, but thankfully Hurd, Kirkman, Gimple et al were able to reduce it back to a complete turdburger in record time. What has to be the last season is opening next week to absolutely no interest from anyone. But wait! Kirkman, Hurd and co have now managed to scrape their way through the barrel and come up with the Woken Dead! Yes folks TWD - The World Beyond is without doubt the worst show I have ever seen. I watched both episodes, and doubt there will be more. If there are - don't show them. It's one loooong PC snoozefest of tediously predictable McGuffins one after another, seemingly written for people who follow Greta Thunwhatever's bowel movements as earth shattering events that need to be shared with the universe. Roll up folks - we got them all! The morbidly obese brown girl, the angst driven anorexic, the misunderstood 'developmentally delayed' person, the geek and the gay. The mysterious big govt is bad! Tyres burn for ever! Won't someone think of the children! Obese girl can't kill an 'empty' (wtf?) , but manages to vomit chocolate milk over it - who knew Choc Milk lasted 10 years?. She then managed to produce a 1kg tin of peaches from somewhere, ate the lot and got them lost. You go ethnic leader! Moody anorexic teen also can't kill one after trying to, using: A) a Huge bowling Ball B) a burning teddy bear c) A kick or 7 in the head. But she's still moody, and has moody looks, is still anorexic , so all's well. The nerd finds a dinosaur tooth he lost as a kid - in the street - during the fall of man - during a riot - 10 years ago - BUT THERE IT IS! In his original backpack. With photo's. All perfectly clean and dry, 10 yrs later. He also has a digital camera, and has taken 12,759 pics in 2 episodes. They also have Walkmans. And Torches. And backpacks from Hogwarts. 'Delayed Guy' has said about 30 words, but is smiling shyly from under his fringe. Serial Killer or secret genius. Who cares. He couldn't kill an 'empty' either. The gay guy is stunningly handsome. Because all gay guys on TV are. So 2 episodes in, and it's dreadful. The Walking Dead meets PC on steroids. The Walking Woke. It's on Amazon, because it's pants. If you had the misfortune to see it - you know what I'm talking about. If you haven't - don't. https://www.imdb.com/title/tt10148174/reviews?ref_=tt_urv Lastly - cos I know Kirkman and Co visit the boards - enough. The franchise is dead. And it's not walking. Just stop and let it rot whilst some nice memories remain. If you really, really need the money - get rid of EVERYONE involved in producing the 3 shows and start with fresh people and fresh ideas. Because this is terrible. 0.5 / 10
  16. Finally watched it. Pleasantly suprised and some great cameos too. Jeri going full borg cube queen was one of many highlights. Not sure if I need a season 2, as S1 was pretty good 7.5 / 10
  17. Last slab went Aus - UK in just under 4 weeks via Aust Post Mags / comics to USA seem to take 6-8 weeks. Its, as they say, a crapshoot. Tracking is your friend tbh
  18. 1****) So USPS have accepted it and you have paid for a service. It's in the system. As per their website, you have 'proved you have sent it' - so - they have it. Certified Mail® Prove you sent it. See when it was delivered or that a delivery attempt was made, and get the signature of the person who accepts the mailing when combined with Return Receipt. Notes Purchase at your Post Office. Present for mailing to a Postal employee if a postmarked sender’s receipt is requested. Combine with Return Receipt to get an electronic or physical delivery record showing the recipient’s signature. The recipient may be required to show an acceptable primary ID before USPS will deliver. 2) Did you insure it? If so with USPS - they have to pay up as the employee declared it lost: https://pe.usps.com/text/dmm300/609.htm#ep1097244 If external, you need to the appropriate paperwork for your insurer to prove it's lost. "A guy on the phone told me" won't be enough for any insurance company in the world to pay out a claim. To be frank, you really haven't tried in the slightest to sort this in any meaningful way. 3 ####) I find that impossible to believe. The first thing anybody would do when looking for a 'lost' $13,000 book would be to report the employee for any number of reasons to his supervisor. Then move up the chain. $13,000 is NOT chump change to any business, especially if there is the slightest suggestion of theft. Why didn't you report the jerk? It's not hard to do.. 6.1 Consumer Complaints and Inquiries Any postal customer may complain or inquire about postal products, services, or employees at any Post Office or directly to the USPS Consumer Advocate (see 8.1 for address). A complaint or inquiry may be made in person, by telephone, by e-mail, or by letter. A complaint or inquiry about the handling of a specific piece of mail should include the related envelope or wrapper and copies of all postal forms filed. A customer who is dissatisfied with the local handling of a complaint or inquiry may send a written appeal to the Consumer Advocate. A court of law can require such appeal as a legal prerequisite for hearing a customer’s suit against the USPS. Consumer Advocate US Postal Service 475 L’Enfant Plz SW Washington DC 20260-2200 4) You say 'it was stolen from Boca Raton' - on what basis do you make this claim? Tracking, according to you, still shows it in the possession of USPS - so ring again, get the right person and start a trace. Make a written complaint. Contact the advocate. Why do you think an insurance company will pay out when it's showing as being with USPS in Boca Raton? Throw up the tracking number so we can have a look. Honestly - I'm struggling to see why you went to the Police to report a theft, when its only been missing for less than 8 weeks. Posting here asking for people to 'keep an eye out' makes no sense when you haven't even offered up any proof that USPS have officially declared this lost. This makes no sense. And that usually means a big ol' chunk of info is missing. How much did you insure it for? Did you take out any USPS insurance as well as the private insurance. Why is the private insurance even CONSIDERING a pay-out on a book that's still in USPS custody after only 8 weeks, during the biggest slow-down in postal history due to covid? Why haven't you started a trace with USPS? Why didn't you report the guy for being completely unprofessional by telling you to 'get over it - it's lost'. And then deal with his boss. Why not use overnight priority mail express - it's a $13,000 book for goodness sake! It's 2020 - the golden age of litigation. Even USPS isn't going to blow off a $13,000 missing item. Why did you report it stolen after 8 weeks rather than start a Postal Trace?
  19. They have branches around the world mate! Paypal Australia is based in the Phillipines. Anyhoo....after 1 hr and 25 minutes of music, someone answered. My refund is done and dusted. Managed payments here I come. Ebay to bank for sales, CC via Paypal for purchases. Sorted.
