  1. Looking at this thread, I'm not sure anyone cares.... And the trailer.....well we have seen it all before surely. I'm not sure what the point of this movie is.
  2. The Anthony Rapp that went onto star in Star Trek as the gay Dr who gets emeshed with an Alien and becomes a Starship engine ( I kid you not) Goodness.
  3. It's both mate. If you feel a comic isn't getting it's due - or there is an error - then Mike will collate and pass it on. All good Addy
  4. Following a message from CGC Mike - all label change requests should go here to be forwarded on to the appropriate person. PLEASE KEEP IT CIVIL I'll start: Tim Holt #30 has a connection with the Zodiac Killer. I would like to see something notated on the label to reflect that. It probably got a disproportionate amount of media coverage due to the 'link' to the ZK. @CGC Mike - you want to make this a sticky? Have at it.
  5. I'd love to think they kept this.....
  6. I blocked him months ago. This forum section is a much nicer place without his relentless BS
  7. Hell yes. I LOVED Stargate 'Universe' - it was smart, and really heading somewhere - Stargate for adults. The fanboys got it pulled sadly. I would HOPE that they redid Universe - again spending $$$ on well known actors (Carlysle, Phillips were in the original) - and start at the beginning again. An ancients ship, capable of sucking energy from the Stars themselves, on a voyage of Star Trek like importance - sign me up! Stargate Universe, very much like Serenity, was only missed when it was gone.
  8. Squirrel's milk is surprisingly nice. Lots of Ice, and a slice of Strawberry completes it.
  9. Oh, me too! I actual have my (good) books written into my will for the kids with specific 'who to contact' for each book if they want to sell them! The thought of Tec #38 going to the Salvation Army, well...........
  10. It's crazy. I don't see it as much as you - but if I get a deal with an obvious key in it - I think 'how did you NOT know that was a $300 book??' You and your buddies seem to find them on a regular basis - is this still the norm in USA? It's dead here (and from speaking to other boardies) and in UK as well regarding boot sales. I just don't get how you can put up a country wide ad, but not look and see (for example) that the Supes annual shown is a $40 book..... Their loss, your gain.
  11. I find it impossible to believe in this day and age that someone who can advertise stuff for sale on the internet, doesn't use said internet to find out their current value.
  12. Do you know the seller - kinda seems you have a relationship with him, based on the above post? I don't think it's fair to get a short box when you bought a long box, but it seems your mileage varies. Maybe you should PM Blackout and sort it out - or at least get him to post his side.
  13. As if on que. 2 shorts of assorted for $50 all up. A LOT of moderns - mostly Superman - but a heap of easy sell $10 variants and runs / mini sets Bagged boarded and in good condition Quick sort through and... Should pretty much pay for the whole lot hopefully.
  14. I would NOT have cherry-picked this. This has a 'how much for the whole bunch' vibe going.
  15. I enjoyed it. I was expecting a bloodbath, but on reflection,, this was 100% the way to end. A few gripes: Michelle Hurd gets a gig on NCC 1701G...... they kept her, and not Shaw The rescue...well Aliens called and Bishop wants his royalties... And Q..... I'm just not sure, but the cynic in me thinks that one Wesley Crusher will return as a sibling - a Q vs Borg thing. You can guarantee the Borg WILL be back. Just small things. Seven is a great choice as Captain, not sure about Jack's role as 'advisor' - but the rest of the Bridge seem spot on, esp Helmswoman LaForge. Lot to look forward to. Anyone know when the new series starts, or it's name?
  16. Yup - we saw it last week. Voyager + Enterprise cross. I hope from that poster above that Shaw somehow is saved...........
  17. Dredd complete runs, plus other universe character runs, plus assorted manga. You take what you can get currently in Australia, very very quiet, no-one is selling anything halfway decent - hopefully one more MCU bomb will shake the good stuff loose! .
  18. Don't studios vet their actors these days, or do they just rely on Silvermanes diversity assessments? Got this one wrong guys...... DC 1 - Marvel 1 It's going to a tie-breaker!
  19. Well, it's nearly here. The last time we will ever see the TNG cast in Star Trek. Episode 10 is "The Last Generation" At the end, I hope I have fond memories, and the crew roster for the TNG reboot coming soon. Anyone know what the new series will be called?
  20. Speaking of *best of*... Series In order of my preferences: TNG - Best Crew + stories. A very honourable mention to 'The Inner Light' - I cried shamelessly at the end of a wonderful story. Voyager - close one - but Seven and The Holodoc just tipped Captain Janeway's crew into 2nd place above Kirk - once Neelix and Kez were replaced by Seven, it was a different beast. - Honorable mention to 'Macrocosm' for showing us the true Janeway. It was a hard watch at times with too much holodeck rubbish (DaVinci etc) and Kez became very tedious very quickly. TOS - Cheesy, corny, bad sets, bad acting - but compulsory viewing back then. Major cameos (Joan Collins etc), and an very underrated social narrative that addressed Communism, Nazis, Overpopulation, Slavery and racism, in its own crazy, crazy way. Special Mention to 'Platos Stepchildren' for *that* kiss. A very , very honourable mention to 'Little Kirk' who always managed to find some trouser-escaping action despite whatever the Galaxy threw at Kirk! Discovery - Some episodes were right up there with the best ever, but the show was continually dragged down by overplaying societal 'issues' as storylines. The image of the crew was enough. We saw the multi-culture, the openly gay characters, disfigured crew, obese crew - and didn't mind at all. To then make whole episodes about the characters sexual preferences, scars and weight was overkill. It worked as it was, without emphasis - to hit us with a hammer about it was too much. Special mention for 'The Red Angel' arc. Supreme suspenseful story. DS9 - I tried to love it. I really did. I found it hard to like it by Season 3, and by then too much damage was done. I hated Quark, Bajorian rebels and that bloody Doctor. Sisko was wet as the ocean, Kira needed a good slap and Dax was....hot? By the time the really good stuff came about - The White / Jem'Hadar / Dominion / Defiant - I'd ceased caring. The Dominion arc was the highlight. Enterprise - Terrible acting, poor scripts and lack of suspense had this struggling from The Get-Go. Scott Bakula was a terrible choice as Captain, whilst it was hard to believe Dominic Keating had ever acted before. It was frequently boring - which is the worst thing you can say about a sci-fi show set in space in a world-class franchise. Special mention for 'Regeneration' -and that was only due to The Borg, and 'A Night In Sickbay' due to Linda Park and Jolene Blalock spending most of it in their undies. Yup, the show was that bad. Strange New Worlds is not streaming in Australia currently. Picard is not finished so was not considered as a series. However.... Best Episode - Yup - Picard - 'Vox'. Best Movie - 'First Contact' Please add your own choices guys!
