  1. I don't mind tightening up a special effect here or there to give a shine to the film. Ultimately, that's not really changing the story.

The things I have issue with are making changes that DO, in fact, change events or moments in the film.

    • Greedo shooting first
    • Noooooooooooo
    • Inserting Hayden Christensen as a force ghost at the end of ROTJ
    • etc.

With changes like those, I'm no longer watching the original story. It's now SW 2.0.

  2. It's too bad Disney couldn't just take a Mulligan and re-do it.

"Oops. Our bad. We don't much like it either."   "While we respect the work of Rian Johnson, after fan feedback and other serious considerations, we feel that his vision and the final product wasn't inline with where we wanted the story to ultimately travel and leave off. While it is still a wonderful film containing the final performance of our beloved Carrie Fisher, we will be removing it from the official Star Wars cannon and creating a new sequel to The Force Awakens."

Hulu has opted not to proceed with Marvel’s Ghost Rider, its planned live-action series starring Gabriel Luna, I have learned.

Hulu in May picked up two new live-action series from Disney sibling Marvel Television, Ghost Rider and Helstrom, to premiere in 2020. While Marvel’s Helstrom is on track, I hear Hulu and the Ghost Rider team had reached a creative impasse which could not be resolved, leading to the streamer’s decision not to move forward with the series.

Marvel Television remains a leading supplier to Hulu with a series slate that includes the live-action Marvel’s Runaways, which has been renewed for a third season, and the upcoming Marvel’s Helstrom, both co-produced by ABC Signature. It also in involved in a suite of four connected animated series — Marvel’s M.O.D.O.K, Marvel’s Hit-Monkey, Marvel’s Tigra & Dazzler Show and Marvel’s Howard the Duck  — set to roll out in 2020, culminating in a special event, Marvel’s The Offenders.

So Disney decided not to work with Disney? Could it launch on Disney+ instead?

"I've said for many years if I could play any Marvel character... I used to say Wolverine, but now, it's like, you know what? Hugh did such a good job with that," Marquand said. "Hugh Jackman's performance was damn near flawless, I think. So, I wouldn't even want to touch that. 'Cause people would just be comparing it. But, not a lot of people know Moon Knight. And, I grew up loving Moon Knight so much so, if I could play him or even just have an opportunity to audition for it, I would be the happiest guy in this town, for sure."

It's come up more than once since Avengers (2012) though I didn't catch the map reference in First Avenger. So odd with this taking place after Civil War, if that is the case.

    Flashback?

Tony Stark: "Natasha, tell me what happened in Budapest."

I enjoy having physical copies. What if my internet goes out (it's happened - for a 3-day stretch before)? What if I wanna watch a movie elsewhere and don't wanna give them access to my account(s)?

The movies that I own digital-only: Captain America: Civil War, Thor: Ragnarok, Shazam, and Godzilla: King of the Monsters. When the MCU Phase 3 Collection is released that list will shrink to 2, though.

Same here. Also -- what if licensing agreements change or the service that you bought your digital copy from goes away. SOL

I rip all my discs to my NAS anyway, so I can stream it if I want and have that physical backup in case something goes wrong.

I have to agree the concerns with Binge-drops are:

    1) Spoilers get leaked too rapidly by early viewers

    2) Post-season dissatisfaction having to wait for the next season for what seems a longer time

    3) The show comes and goes and feels to drop out of conversations quickly

I think Disney+ is smart to force a weekly release schedule with its short-schedule shows.

    4) Recurring revenue - Much easier to keep someone subscribing to the service if they have to follow a show over several months.

  8. Finally was able to binge all 6 seasons over the course of a couple weeks. I really enjoyed all of them, although some things started wearing thin (Mack/Yo-Yo) towards the last couple seasons. I thought Season 6 was the weakest thus far, although I did enjoy the scenes in the casino on Kitson.

So it looks like we will have a interesting upcoming debate soon.

Heath Ledger vs. Joaquin Phoenix as the Joker.

What I'm concerned with is people going in to see this one but expecting it to be like the other. From everything said and seen about the movie, it's basically a character study of one man's descent into despair and madness(ish).

Will the general public go in with that foreknowledge and set their expectations accordingly, or will we hear a bunch of "No Batman!? No 'splosions?! This movie sucks! #DCFailz!!"

I'm just hoping it doesn't become another "critically acclaimed commercial flop", as I appreciate the fact that they decided to try something new here.

This one makes me cry lol.  My Ferret bought complete unbroken in box.  Had it stored and now the one section where wheel attach is broken so now I have to find a new wheel rack.  Damn plastic.

I know it broke because of the stress from the tab to put it together and the tail pipes pushing agasint it.  As the plastic becomes less pliable it snapped.  Its a shame i really like this vehicle.  :(

Pretty much any joe vehicles I get now I take them apart and store them as parts and not together to relieve any stress on them.

Is it not possible to repair pieces like this, or is there a stigma associated with it, like say a comic with restoration?
