  1. Wasn't this a $100 raw book a couple years ago? It's commanded a decent buck since then. 9.8's, 9.4's and 9.0's are trending up in the past 12 months, but other grades, like 9.6, are trending down. I keep looking to find one at a decent price, but no luck yet! Yeah, that one's been up for a while. Thought it had cooled off some over the last few months. I've been looking for a nice 9.8, but most people still have it priced around $300 when actual auctions typically lose steam closer to $220-250. Copper Bats have been strong lately. Seems to be a healthy demand for high-grade early-to-mid-1980's Bats/Tec. The 9.8 white that sold on June 5 was mine - I was happy to get $227.50 for it, but thought it would go higher. Heck, I got $125 for my raw copy over a year ago when it first hopped . . .
  2. As much as I'd like to I don't see any real evidence of this. Book has been a trash book for 40 years and is now selling. The fact that it is selling for ANY price shows movement. I was doing the wrong searches I guess - you're right, of course.

Dude - you have to come out of the house more often . . .

  5. That thread is classic. I just wish there more of them so we can get rid of some these scum bags. What? Did he manufacture them?
  6. Guess my "less than 220' everyone was crapping on is still holding up.... Well... You HAD 58 , I know of a store owner in Florida that HAD 50 total (for his 3 locations).Which ,btw, debunks the theory they were only shipped from one Diamond warehouse. You add the current and completed auctions with what is floating around , I would say "less than 220" won't hold. BUT it does appear these will be extremely scarce . I HOPE you are right Larry as I have 10 copies ! Maybe DC will release a statement on the matter in the future The end is nigh! Repent, repent evil sinners.
  7. Didn't see this coming at all . . . so thanks! So first, Marvel Two-In-One #61 blows up, now Doc Savage is moving . . . you gotta love this market.
  8. Boy, are they going to be disappointed in that copy though . . .
  9. Well, you forgot Murphy's law . . . I've sold all of my copies, so it's bound to go up!
  10. Black Magic M66? Good guess, but no. It's this one:
  11. And the 1st U.S. Appearance is . . . not what CGC says it is.
  12. It's an amazing thing, this internet thingie . . .
  13. Yep, and I'm starting to get a lot of interest in older issues consequently. Time to list another Death of Ollie, perhaps?
  14. Listen to Larry, and you'll be in the back stock business in no time . . .
  15. I used to "enjoy" reading RMA's posts, but this spoiler tag stuff. Is. Just. Plain. Stoopid.
  16. Should've held. My 9.8 only sold for $90 at auction a couple months back after trying to get substantially more on the Clink exchange. It was only one of 2 on the census I believe. Ouch! Should have left it on the exchange. I had a feeling it would be relevant with all the Warlock buzz. dumb*ss You can't win em all. I sold a raw Batman 251 on the boards several years back. I graded it at 9.0. The person who bought it slabbed it and it came back 9.6. Do you know what a 9.6 Batman 251 goes for these days? Also sold my Iron Man 55 before it went bonkers. Ah well, que sera sera When my wife decided we were getting a house, I sold a Batman 251 CGC 9.6 and an IM 55 CGC 9.4 to defray the moving costs well before those books really blew up, so I feel your pain I still have my Iron Man 55. I was discussing this with Emily after I wrote the post and she was like " you shouldn't have sold them, I would rather you'd have kept them". I really should've said something back then instead of just selling them. We sold the '69 Alfa duetto, the Hulk 181, the Avengers 4 and just about everything else that wasn't moving . . .
  17. Why? Maybe because that's what the thread title is? ....And why not? Jerome Fan boy porn.
  18. Guess it's time to put some ROM up for sale . . .
