  1. CGC made that evaluation at a very early stage, and stubbornly held on to it. you cannot see all of the punisher in any one of those panels. his foot is obscured! hence it is a cameo. plus he's on the cover of 135! Yeah, but it's his right foot, and you can see that just above the right-footless-panel! X+Y=Z
  2. If this is your reasoning what are you even doing here? Anyone can look at recent eBay sales and note prices. Yes, there is a reason. Because when you post a book that sold people in this community are interested in whether that sale is an anomaly or part of a trend. Since people here make money, some their entire living, off the comics market this sort of thing matters. Cable and Deadpool 50 is being bought and sold currently due to misinformation. It was previously bought and sold because its a final issue, until recently when some people made sure to mention it all over the comics-related internet as it being the first appearance of Venompool. Incorrectly. This results in eBay sellers incorrectly touting it as the first appearance of Venompool and buyers of varying intelligence purchasing it as a result. Where were these sellers advertising this book as the first appearance of Venompool a year ago? Two years ago? Venompool has been around for roughly 5 years so why the discnnect? This isn't a coincidence. Its almost like market manipulation is real. Why does this matter, I mean who cares about the insufficiently_thoughtful_person buyers who don't know any better? Well if you're going to buy into a book it just kind of sort of matters if the interest in that book is genuine or built on lies. That maybe kind of sort of gives an indication of where the book will be valued next week, next month, next year. And call me crazy but some sellers might actually care if what they are selling is the real thing or a fugazi. This. Makes. My. Head. Explode. (insert exploding head emoji here)

  4. I'm watching it now ..I'm on Episode 7...The show is AWESOME!!! Just like Daredevil and Jessica Jones... Yep, I'd watch it for the house bands alone . . .
  5. Yea, seems to be the clear winner from the show. I'm not surprised at the high grade prices though. I don't see many Luke Cage books in general that are high grade. Yep, I'm down to last few tomato-boxers.
  6. Nope...I generally like everything Marvel puts out there...silver screen and Netflix. Totally agree with AGGIEZ. And CAK, did you ever consider the people who are saying it's awful are saying that because it truly is, and those people can recognize bad acting and poor writing when they see it? Wow, not even worth respondi . . . . ng ....but you did, in a childish manner. If you have something constructive to say please say it. I stand behind my question to CAK, it's ridiculous of him to make broad generalizations about the "type" of person who doesn't like Luke Cage. I'm not agreeing with CAK (in fact, I hardly ever read his posts.) But what qualifies YOU to make this statement: Are you freakin' Lee Strasberg?

  9. Unfortunately, the show is not that great. I fully expect you to make comments like this . . . time and time again. Really? Because I can count on 1 hand the number of times I've said something like this. one, two . . .
  10. I'm shocked you even show your face around here.
  11. Couldn't have said it better.

  13. Just going by the "views" in the Catwoman gallery on the Adam Hughes website, here are the top 9 viewed: #45 26678 views #51 21111 #46 19509 #80 16644 #48 16221 #70 14885 #53 14824 #52 14577 #74 14121 The rest of the books had between 8844 and 13854 views. I wouldn't be surprised to see #45 start to rise in price down the road. Already HOT!
  14. Same here. The Mr. Fish cover was probably one of the first dozen or so comics I ever bought. And then you guys saw the Tuska/Colletta interiors and died a little inside. Problem is Colletta's inking, which does not work well on many artists. I have come to appreciate Tuska more and more after seeing his pre-1960s work. I appreciate Tuska's earlier work. Don Heck too but by the time they were working for Marvel in the 60s and 70s, I don't think much of it. Well, the work looked more "routine", but inking is often determinant. Some Tales of Suspense issue and early Iron Man (in title) are very good, especially when he teamed up with Johnny Craig. I love #14… Eggsackley!
  15. Really? I seriously need to dig out some stuff then if this is the case. That one is listed as F/VF condition. Why not get this one? http://www.ebay.com/itm/AMAZING-SPIDER-MAN-275-NM-HOBGOBLIN-CGC-IT-/172253762943?hash=item281b1fd57f:g:BDEAAOSw3YNXbv4N Maybe they wanted the newsstand. OK, well there's this one: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Amazing-Spiderman-275-Hobgoblin-appearance-Spideys-origin-9-2-Near-Mint-/111708906143?hash=item1a025ea29f:g:4qkAAOSwLVZVlLWY Heck, they could have bought THIS ONE!
