  1. Apparently, you never have. It is perhaps the best BA story on the books.
  2. Nice book - regardless of Darkseid, it's a great book, if not only for the Neal Adams cover - Sweet! (thumbs u
  3. Also found this with a quick Google search (although it's a #1 and not a #2) http://catalogue.swanngalleries.com/asp/fullCatalogue.asp?salelot=2377+++++338+&refno=++698919&saletype= Thanks Roy, I was able to find #1 but not issue #2 anywhere. There are also a few resident underground experts as well. Comicwhiz is one of them (I can't remember the others). You might want to try sending them a PM or try the search function. Good luck. EggsAckley Exactly! And the Reverend?
  4. Those are sweet! I have no idea how SparkleCity gets consistently higher than market prices (although I could speculate). Why is this so? I bought some really high grade treasuries from a ebay seller I have dealt with many times and trust his grading, they cost a fraction of the ones sold by Sparkle.
  5. I think this qualifies as Copper: Clive Barker's Hellraiser
  6. Just crack it out and re-sub, particularly if you think the grade is just plain wrong.
  7. Yes, they have. I was both disappointed and happy with my submissions from this summer as well: disappointed with the books I subbed to flip that did not receive gift grades BUT happy with the ones I wanted to keep as they are accurately graded. I'm still trying to figure this one out. Back cover is just as nice... Well at least the pq is nice! No hint from the grading notes of some secret sorrow to the interior that you had overlooked? There must be a major problem on the inside pages Generally water/moisture related damage (wavering) when you can't see anything wrong and the grade is that low. A detached centerfold can bring a high grade book down to 7.0 . Yep, they used to note that - not sure if they still do. Give me a detached CF all day long (if the price is right).

  9. It's good to know that there's someone out there who's even less organized than I.
  10. Which book has the 1st appearance of the Infinity Gauntlet with the gems - SS #50? 44
  11. Kane and Starlin were great Bronze Age cover artists. indeed! (thumbs u
  12. Or me. I missed out on this book. If anyone has a NM+ copy PM me. That's cray-cray.
  13. The 1st appearance of Magneto is definitely a book to get................as it features the 1st appearance of the X-Men as well. (thumbs u My point was that if you are chasing movie related 1st apps of villains or lesser characters the time to buy is well before the movie hype starts in earnest. The time to chase them is when a film is rumored/announced by the big two, not after it has been cast or is in production. Buy early and at low prices, flip at the peak, and even if you are stuck with a copy or two you will still be able to move them at a higher price than you accumulated them at. The real time to buy them is to already have them.
  14. This makes no sense to me. Why have more than one copy if you don't plan on eventually reselling them? Two copies I can understand, your reader and your untouched high-grade. But "tons"? Some like having multiples of the same issues and it's not like we're talking about AF15s here. Most were purchased dirt cheap. It's a nostalgia kick in the face flipping through a short box of Darkhawk #1s. Someone should start an Official DarkHawk Apprection Thread (and keep this discussion there . . . )
